I am a simple man who has journeyed near and far. My experiences have taken me to foreign lands and across the country. One constant has guided me, there are great people and great beauty everywhere. I have loved, laughed, struggled and cried. My foundation is set in a belief of more good than evil, more fair than not, more time for admiration, less time for hate. I'm a lifetime member of the VFW, a member of the American Legion, and a student of government and history who stands strongly proud of our country's heritage and still feel obligated to uphold the oath I swore to a brief three+ decades past.
Study Our History is a column dedicated to views from a Constitutional perspective. The thunder is often that grassroots sound we hear surrounding key areas impacting our daily lives. It is not necessarily the thunder from my words but the thunder from people like you and me who are fighting for their causes and clinging to the remains of an unprecedented experiment. The experiment was first brought to life over 220 years ago by 55 enlightened men and the results of their thunder are truly inspirational. Their experiment, the Federalist Republic, must be revived and the words read in this column will be but a humble attempt to shine the light on our world from a U.S. Constitutional perspective.
