Is there a right to opinion?

Published: September 4, 2009
The citizen's cause can be legitimized in the 1st Amendment. This amendment brought about the freedoms that we tend to take for granted. The “Bill of Rights”states, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Cynthia McKinney and the Alleged 5,000 Dead Hurricane Katrina Inmates
by Jake Towne, the Champion of the Constitution (libertarian)
Published: October 5, 2008
My purpose for writing this is that I view this as what should be a major political event, but instead I find there is a mainstream media blackout. As you read, understand to my knowledge there is only one corporate news agency (FOX) that has reported anything, and it wasn't published until 5 days after the McKinney announcement. I want to know the truth, were people executed by the government during the Hurricane Katrina relief effort? I think that everyone can still remember how incapable that relief effort was. Please keep in mind that I do not pretend to know the truth here, I am just doing my best to document and report.

Why the ACLU Opposes Proposition 8
