The rationale for the current occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan, used to sell the American public, is the war on terror. We are making the Middle East safe for Democracy, just like Vietnam. The accurate nature of the conflict revolves around oil, the lifeblood of American suburban sprawl culture.
Governor Rick Perry did not receive the much needed endorsement of the Texas Republican Assembly today showing a shift toward Debra Medina among conservatives.

Those listening carefully to Sarah Palin at the Tea Party Convention should have no doubt, political animals are attacking tea party activists in earnest.
Even if they had good intentions, dinosaurs went extinct for a reason. So it will be with Republocrat career politicians.
Aficionados of Ostentation
by John Kozy (centrist liberal libertarian, February 7, 2010)Do those who buy the paintings of long dead artists and fund buildings for artistic performances do so because they truly love the arts or because they want to boast, "Look what I can afford to do!"? There was a time when wealth supported artists. That practice died out sometime after the sixteenth century. What goes on today borders on the absurd. While huge amounts of money are being spent, the artists themselves are being neglected. This is not love of art for art's sake; it's merely benefactor aggrandizement.
After a decade of ongoing Chemtrails and being in the midst of an ongoing “economic (non)crisis” this issue (among many others) should be a cause of outrage for the citizens of our nation--it is past time to demand an explanation--why is our government spending our tax dollars in this manner!?! It is past due for us to demand an explanation--or is our Government no longer accountable to the constituency that elects it to office!?!
