ObamaCare's Bumpy Ride
Published: August 21, 2009
He put the cart before the horse, expecting Americans to buy into a massive, loosely defined concept – healthcare reform – and offer support without being told exactly what it would mean for them and their families. The ink wasn’t even dry on the various bills back in July and the president was already giving the country the hard sell.

Beltway Blitz
Published: July 9, 2009
If the stimulus bill is any measure, though, it is foolish to hope this administration and its allies can act quickly and prudently at the same time. Throw the staggering dollar amounts into the mix, along with the inherent risk of fraud and waste, and the recipe is one for disaster.

Now Comes the Hard Part
Published: November 5, 2008
Regardless of political affiliation or for whom one was pulling, this election was an historic moment for the country. Voters, many of them first-timers, turned out in droves to help elect an African-American president, which speaks volumes on how far we have progressed on the issue of race.

Harold Hill for President
Published: October 31, 2008
Watching how Obama gets away with all of this is reminiscent of Professor Harold Hill from The Music Man. In the musical, every time the townspeople press the traveling scam artist about his background, he starts singing a new tune – literally.
