In this part of the world, millions of women often give birth one child after another. There is no respect for women's health or feelings. For example, most women give birth before the age of 18 and want only two or three children, but they are not able to use family planning if their husbands object. Also, women do not have easy access to various types of family planning facilities.

I know that arranged weddings in South Asia, India and Nepal are mandated by our society, but I believe that the bride and groom must share compatibility in terms of their future, careers, beliefs, values and lifestyles, which are important. Therefore, it should be a woman's choice as to the kind of person she wants to have for a husband and with whom to share her life.
