Maria Folsom

Picking It Apart
by Maria Folsom (libertarian)

About The Author

Long-time Libertarian Party member, but cancelled my membership this year when the Party nominated Bob Barr. I've run for office as a Libertarian candidate (State Senate of Montana, District 8; 2006) and participated as a delegate to the Libertarian National Convention in Denver, 2008. I am a retired career-government-worker, and have seen first-hand the dangers of government control of health care and education.

About The Column

My column will review news articles from other publications and websites relating to politics, current events, and hot issues. I will examine them through Libertarian spectacles. I will offer my critique and suggest libertarian ways to support or correct these other articles.
