The Honorable Skeptic's statements
by Dale Husband (liberal)

About The Author

I have enjoyed writing since my teenage years. I hope to see if my writings are on a par with those already here. I love a challenge and will go up against right-wingers as well as left-wingers in politics who appear to be without honor. I am a Texan but have no pride in the politicians that screw with my state or come from it.

About The Column

A moderately left-wing perspective with respect for all peoples of the world, but pulling no punches with regards to hypocrisy and cowardice.

What we consider irrational in religion or any other issue may be more of a cultural bias than anything objective.

Those terrible twins of climate change, CO2 and H2O
Published: January 21, 2009
Climate change is a very complex issue with many variables. Attempts by denialists to simplify the issue and then attack their own strawman are bogus and must be exposed as such.

Why do people have different opinions?
Published: January 16, 2009
We can only know so much, and the limitations of both our minds and our social contacts may explain why we differ in our opinions and assumptions.

Intelligent Design as an Unscientific Concept
Published: December 30, 2008
Science is a methodology that depends on observation, experimentation, and empiricism. So why do certain people wish to bypass that process to claim something as science that doesn't follow those rules?

Ideology should be based on reality
Published: December 26, 2008
Too often, those who claim to be knowledgable about political matters put the cart before the horse, basing their interpretation of data on their ideological bias rather than making their ideology to fit the facts and the needs of real people.
