The Hard Truth
by Brooklyn (Libertarian)
About The Author
A male in my 20's who was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY but currently resides in Kansas City, I've spent most of my life absorbing mass amounts of various media. From movies and television to music and news, my family exposed me to a huge variety of influences early on. I developed a cynical eye at a young age to what others often accepted blindly. I eschew most popular trends not due to their popularity but due to a general lack of substance and what could often be perceived as hidden agendas. I am always trying to learn new and useful information. I've been on the front page of the New York Daily News and have been online since 1987. I have made a great effort to educate and enlighten those I'm around one at a time. I believe that my posted writings can help in some ways to streamline that process.
About The Column
I believe the United States is slowly becoming a more contemporary version of that written about in books such as 1984, Brave New World and Fahrenheit 451 and this needs to be stopped. My column seeks to present an unvarnished, unabashed viewpoint on various issues. If it is politically incorrect, that is because the thought of considering political correctness never crossed my mind. If it is abrasive, that is because the truth is often harsh. I call it as I see it.
Supporting the Troops is not Supporting the War

I sometimes become very annoyed by the stupidity of people. Whether it's their blind belief in obvious untruths or their herd mentality causing us all to suffer on their behalf, it can be quite bothersome.
