Logical Premise

About The Author

I am 30 years old. I am an American, a veteran of the United States Navy. I am in a relationship with a woman about my age and I hope to be married before the end of 2008. I am hetrosexual, black (and I despise the term "African-American"), religous, and I scored a 1560 on the SAT. My IQ is 152 and I currently hold a position at a Fortune 500 company. I live in Texas. I do *not* own a cowboy hat or a beltbuckle the size of a plate, but I do have a belt with my name on the back of it and cowboy boots.

Amusingly, my ancestors were slave traders from Algeria. For obvious reasons I could care less about reparations.

I do not consider myself antagonistic to any political theory and will be more than happy to debate any sort of ideas you have regarding my positions as civilly as possible.

About The Column

I am, by nature, someone who dislikes both hyperbole and insipid modesty. There are a myriad of problems with this country, and to suggest or imply one particular approach will magically make things "better" is to either imply that the average American is very naive or is too busy in his or her conspicious consumption (or starving on the street) to pay attention to the Wizard behind the curtain.

I will consider the positions of candiates, based only off of what I find on their official sites, and comment upon them. My race, sex, religous affiliation, personal beliefs, and party of choice do not really matter. I am a statist.

Statism is the belief that the only form of government that makes sense is one that involves significant centralized government intervention in personal, social and/or economic matters.

I happen to believe in that. I believe in it for a number of reasons, most importantly because people are not smart. I do not belive in morality, I do not belive in the conventional wisdom, and I most certainly do not belive in the idea that the common man is somehow our touch stone. I am an eliteist in the manner after that of William Henry III.
