USAF Vet Dan

In Pursuit of Liberty
by USAF Vet Dan (Libertarian)

About The Author

I am a veteran of the USAF (1976 - 1980) and recipient of the Air Force Commendation Medal. I received a Bach. of Architecture degree from Illinois Institute of Technology (1985) and own / operate a national business & real estate development firm which employs over 100 people.

Since the late 1980's, I have been a Constitutionist and political activist. In 1996, I ran for Congress in the Illinois' 8th district against 14 term incumbent Phil Crane because of his rabid support of NAFTA, GATT and the WTO. During that campaign, I won a debate against Crane which was sponsored by the League of Women Voters.

About The Column

It was Thomas Jefferson who said, "The liberty of speaking and writing guards our other liberties." In Pursuit of Liberty is a constitutionist's perspective on the many issues that affect our lives as Americans. Using current events and issues, it seeks to provide food for thought about the detriments of allowing our federal government to stray from its constitutional confines.
