About The Column
The writing is on the wall and Ron Paul isn't going to win. The power of the Internet alone isn't enough to get a candidate the White House ... yet. Does that mean you should hang up your hat, crack open a beer, and forget about the election? Absolutely not! I think the Martin Luther King money bomb is a great idea. The idea is getting out there and it's spreading. A lot of people like the idea, but it's still new and frightening. The MSM still has a lot of power, but their power is dwindling. We haven't died, yet. Realistically, however, we have to realize that Ron Paul isn't going to win the Republican nomination. I don't know if he's going to go for a third party run, but I doubt it and I hope not. Just like Ronald Reagan, who ran in 1976 and didn't win, Ron Paul has a good chance in 2012. That is, he has a good chance against a Democratic president. If there's a Republican incumbent we can bet our last dollar that he won't win the primary again. Ron Paul has a list of supporters that are fired up about his ideas. These people can easily shape local and state contests as well. I am interested to see how Ron Paul's endorsement can affect House and Senate races. The fight has just gotten started, but we need to be in it for the long haul. Stay organized, get in touch with other Ron Paul supporters, and let the decentralized system continue to do its magic. It's the best way.
