Believing that we actually do live in a universe that can be examined by reason and reveals consistent truths, we will search for a unified perspective, a world view, that integrates and makes sense of significant issues in any area of discourse. Realizing also that each of us is finite and limited in our grasp of reality, we intend to mediate views that conflict by encouraging dialogue among viewpoints. However, although we believe the truth will not contradict reason, we submit that truth may at times transcend our reason, and is not restricted to mere naturalism.
