About The Author
I have spent much of my life devoted to learning. My education has never stopped since I first learned to read. I thank heaven I live in a period that has experienced such a vast increase in science information, and instant access to that information. I had the first computer in my school and for that matter in most of the city I lived in.
Even though I went into the Army as a young man to get out of deep East Texas, and specialized in combat arms I quickly found myself in front of a computer when on base, and in libraries in several countries around the world. The Army quickly found better uses for my skills and I was retrained to work in the battalion S-2 as an intelligence clerk. I used that opportunity to learn a great deal about how our government and military works.
I decided that a military or government career was not for me in the end but took what I learned with me. I spent most of the rest of my life in libraries taking on just enough work to sustain my very basic needs.
I lived like this for many years with a focus on learning more about current events as well as, history, politics, science, and technology. I had for many years collected and tinkered with electronic parts from the various surplus outlets for the military industrial largess of our nation as well as tinkering with computers. I then turned this passion into a job and started as manager of a small North Texas white box PC builder.
During this time I wrote and self published my first attempt at an electric spacecraft propulsion science and technology book. It was titled The UFO Technology Hackers Manual. I did some talk shows to promote the book and did a lot of networking and have gone on to be a CEO of a small technology start-up that had the bad timing of being just after 9-11 and the bursting of the tech bubble. I did learn a great deal in the experience and that has long been my sole focus.
Now I work with a few friends and business partners and we work on bleeding edge technologies. The world I find is at a point where we need to all provide our best ideas to move forward and to survive as a species. The science experiment called Earth is in serious need to some fresh thinking or we are all going to suffer far more than makes sense for practical and scientific people. Things should be getting a lot better a lot more rapidly for us and our focus would not be on suffering but on science and technology and space travel and life in general.
Instead we are in a world were science is perverted into terrible weapons, and good technology is not developed that could eliminate suffering in the world. It makes no sense and that is the driving force behind my writing and my research work. Things can be far better if people were simply better educated, and we have the means now to make that education far better and more practical than we currently have today. The world cant wait for our ideas, we need to bring the best ones to bear on our problems no matter if we personally profit from them or not if we are to survive as a species.
About The Column
The Author is a futurist, an inventor, and world traveler. This column will cover topics of my interest that I feel strongly enough about to make my opinions and ideas known on the subjects. The main focus of my work has been dedicated to research into technologies and sciences.
Sciences of greatest interest to me include martial science, applied physics, political science, and mind science.
I have long come to the conclusion that the Earth is most likely some kind of science experiment, and what we witness are the results of that experiment.
