Me and My Big Mouth!
by Stephen McDuffy (libertarian)

About The Author

If you want to skip all the self-aggrandizing stuff, go ahead and scroll down to the articles. They are arranged from newest to oldest.

I once ran for Congress, though I suspended my campaign about 9 months before election day for several reasons, chief among these being the death of my brother.

I love liberty. I hate politics. However, since the actions of politicians so often impede or abrogate liberty, I end up discussing politics quite often.

I am a former semi-professional musician and hopefully, I am still a pretty good writer.

About The Column

Infrequent columns about news, world events, and society from the perspective of a former liberal-democrat turned Rothbardian laissez-faire capitalist. I also don't consider myself to be particularly intelligent. What I am is someone who has read quite a lot of writings of people much more brilliant than I, then I take their viewpoints (the ones I agree with) and present them in a way that is more easily digestible to the majority of readers. In other words: I don't come up with the great ideas, but I do my best to help disseminate them. I am what Hayek would have called a "second-hand dealer in ideas." Nolite iugum ducere cum infidelibus; quae enim participatio iustitiae cum iniquitate? Aut quae societas luci ad tenebras?

Free Markets and Business-On-Business Violence

On Janeane Coulterofalo, Tea Parties, & President George W. Obama
Published: April 21, 2009
Janeane Garofalo recently criticized the tax protest tea parties that were held across America earlier this month. Her criticisms were nothing more than argumentum ad hominem. In this article, I show how she could have done a much better job of criticizing the Tea Party protests.
