I am 74 years old, have skads of grandkids and great grandkids, a wonderful family life and do just about everything I want. I am spoiled rotten by my wife of 53 years and my four kids who are our best friends. I have been in private business primarily Development planning, Engineering and Surveying as owner and as an employee over 20 years. and have held the title of, City Manager, County Manager, City Councilman, County Commissioner over a span of 20 years. So I procrastinate a lot when trying to evaluate political and social changes. My sense of humor keeps me sane as America is cought up in this, "Changing of the guard" so humor, writing, fishing and oil painting, becomes my hiding place from what depresses me.

About The Column

I have few real concerns left, one of the more puzzling is that I have very strong feeling for the American way of life which I am used to, being altered beyond recognition of my grandchildren! My views on political issues are much like many other conservative leaning folks, but my thoughts drift way beyond what I hear and see. I had a very rough time  certifying to this site, not to badmouth people or Organizations. I do not hate liberals, in fact my belief is that it takes the far left through the far right to make up the American values. My purpose in expressing views is to find the line which keeps America from falling into total Government control. That is to say, "CAPITALISM RULES" in the system I believe in. Individual protection in our ,"Bill of Rights", and "The Declaration of Independence" must remain as intended by the Authors.
