personal gun ownership, second amendment, history

Sadly, any who think guns are for hunting only, have not been taught history. The Second Amendment of our Constitution ensures that every citizen has the right to carry a weapon for self defense against any and all dangers.
People of old even carried their weapons to church- there was an alcove where they could put their guns and still have them within easy reach should an emergency arise.

Look at the records, not rhetoric- all societies where citizens carry weapons are safer societies. Bad people are supposed to be stopped- whether in church, on the street, in a shopping mall, school, or in your front window ... stopped by you, not someone on the other end of a call to 911. We the people, are not to be handcuffed by the tyranny of anti-gun sentiment that leaves only criminals with guns.

Read the records, not the rhetoric--every report verifies that private citizens with private weapons are not careless or reckless. They know guns kill. They are aware of the power they carry. They are also aware they are on equal footing with crooks and thugs and can stop evil before it launches into a whole-sale killing spree against innocent people.

I give thanks for every man and woman who has a concealed carry permit. They understand the God given rights this country was founded upon. They are helping to keep back the horde of evil that is being hand-fed by our spineless elected servants. The media will never report how many thousands of crimes are stopped every day by honest citizens who are carrying a concealed weapon, yes, thousands per day. http://www.gunowners.org/sk0301.htm , http://www.fff.org/freedom/fd0210e.asp are just two of many sources that offer truth about about guns and crime.

Every person should be educated on how to carry a gun and use it, then this land will become a safer and freer place to live...just ask folks in Australia, Europe and now the Swiss- who are losing their rights to keep and bear arms (ammunition) http://concealed.wordpress.com/2007/10/27/switzerland-strips-all-citizens-of-gun-rights/...

America, this is the land of the free, not the land of slaves to the government- stand up for your Constitutional rights or you will lose them. Do not give up your right to keep and bear arms. It is your last defense against the tyranny of a run-away Government.

If you do not know how to use a personal firearm, take the step toward personal responsibility. Contact a concealed carry class in your area, sign up, and purchase a quality firearm. You do not have to be a victim, just because  elected servants (politicians) of the people say you do. Become a member of Gun Owners of America, http://www.gunowners.org/  and spread the word to all you know- guns stop crime and dictatorial government.

" If all Americans want is security, they can go to prison. They'll have enough to eat, a bed and a roof over their heads. But if an American wants to preserve his dignity and his equality as a human being, he must not bow his neck to any dictatorial government."
-Pres. Dwight Eisenhower

I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me also remind you that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!"
-Barry Goldwater

"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed."
-Alexander Hamilton
