Why do we even debate voting another mugger into the white house when one candidate says - and has the record to prove - that he won't mug us at all, ever? by Alex Wallenwein

Every American president since Woodrow Wilson has robbed Americans blind by forcing us to pay "taxes" on our income - and they have all done so at gun point. The fire power of the entire federal government has backed up their demand.
That makes them, quite literally, muggers.
Now, in 2008, there is one candidate out of 14 remaining ones who says he will not rob us anymore - and he has a 20-year record to back it up.
I have a question for you:
"Why are we still debating which of the other thirteen will rob us in the manner most pleasing to our personal ideologies?"
Twelve men and one woman are campaigning on a platform that says: "If you vote for me and I get elected, I will rob you in (fill-in-the-blank) way."
One man says: "I will never rob you. The fruits of your labor belong to you, not me or the federal government."
To which you respond: "But, mugging is the law. We have to let them mug us." So Ron Paul, the outsider, responds "Fine. Let’s change the law, then."
Yet, we regard the one who won’t rob us as a "maverick", a political "outsider" who has "no chance of winning."
???!!
Have we been so bullied into submission by almost a century of unjust taxation that we meekly comply and feel we have a patriotic duty to "shut up and pay up"?
If Americans felt that supporting their federal government in this manner (and to that extent) was their patriotic duty, they would do it voluntarily. So, why force us at gunpoint?
Americans are voluntarily donating their lives to their country in sufficient numbers to form the world’s most powerful military - without a draft!
So, why do we need a ‘tax draft’?
Why are we even considering voting yet another mugger into the white house?
