The Huckster's Plan. How it worked.

Slick Willie has nothing on the Huckster. Read about how he lied, cheated and stole the Iowa Caucus.

The Huckster has a plan. It has fooled the general electorate and played the Main Stream Media (MSM) like the fools that they are.

How did it work?

It is important to remember that by Dec. 15th, there was absolutely NO ad time available to buy on Television. Huckabee had very little money prior to that (and still today) so therefore, he had very little air-time available to promote himself

He needed to "LEVERAGE" his air-time by producing controversial ads and getting them on the MSM new shows.

The first, a floating cross, Jesusy, christmas commercial. This probably didn't play 100 times in paid slots in Iowa, but reached every household dozens of times in both print and electronic media by the controversy it caused.

But who started the controversy? Once again, a few shills for the Hucksters Campaign in blogs and articles, maybe even a few well-placed emails to news anchors at the MSM. Whatever, it got itself turned into a media frenzy and thereby saving the Hukabee campaign millions of dollars in advertising costs.

Then, act like you have an attack ad to run (without any available slots, making it impossible to actually run) Set up a press conference, have all of the material readily available and easily viewable for the press, then come in and say "I changed my mind, but I will let you see it anyway, you would never show it to anyone would you?" Luckily, the media wasn't quite as stupid as to show it (some fools did, but most did not). However, they did talk about it. Giving him more press coverage.

The MSM failed their viewers by NOT calling him out on this slimy move.

I would like for someone to call these media outlets in Iowa and find out if the attack ads really were scheduled to run. I have a business and I run cable ads all the time. It would be near-to-impossible to get them all pulled within one hour before start time as the Huckster claimed. My guess is that they were never actually going to air anywhere/anytime.

Now, Huckabee faces a huge problem in the upcoming primaries. Not much money and he needs to spread it across 4 states, N.H.,M.I.,S.C., N.V.

He knows he will fair poorly in NH and the ad slots there would probably all be taken, so that is out. Hmmm, he needs to get an ad on TV, how will he do it? He only has about $2,000,000 and that will not go very far, especially with the lawsuits from Ed Rollin's and Chuck Norris' constant plans to hit, knock teeth out and choke people, should they follow through

All kidding aside, Huckabee's poor showing in N.H. will cripple his fund-raising. His only hope is Controversy.

Controversy sells.

That is how the news shows make their money.

These are the normal, historical actions of Ed Rollins, Huckabee's Campaign manager. Why would he run this campaign any different
