Open Letter to Fox News Chief, John Moody: Whats Your Excuse Now? I ask John Moody, the Fox News Chief, what his excuse is now for excluding Congressman Ron Paul from the debate in New Hampshireby Paul M. Green

Dear Mr. Moody,
Okay, sir, what is your excuse now for excluding Congressman Ron Paul from the Fox News New Hampshire debate? I ask you to explain your rationale for this unbievable decision. Dr. Paul beat Rudy Giuliani in Iowa last night by a impressive 6 point margin. Yet Dr. Paul is still not invited? Fred Thompson? I'll give you that one - he did well considering he took very little part in the caucus, or in his own campaign for that matter.
Am I to believe the lame excuse that ONE MORE person won't fit into that idiotic trailer Fox claims to be using? Its clear what Fox doesn't have room for: Opposing views to its clear support for the warmongering, fear-spreading, neoconservative agenda. I ask you, sir, to please reconsider your unwise, un-American decision to squelch the one and only opposing view regarding the war in Iraq, foreign policy, and sound monetary policy.
Ron Paul is in this race for the long haul, and so are his supporters. Ron Paul should now be allowed into the debate considering his double digit results in Iowa, his polling numbers in New Hampshire, and his record breaking $20 Million fourth quarter fundraising.
Please visit the following link: www.ronpaul2008.com/endorsements. There, you'll see an impressive list of individuals and groups who endorse Ron Paul. If you follow the link to "Veterans for Ron Paul", you'll find over 300 veterans endorsing Ron Paul, surpassing John McCain's list of veterans by over 100 entries.
If you follow this link: http://www.ronpaul2008.com/straw-poll-results/, you'll see Dr. Paul has also won the most straw polls in the nation, and placed strongly in the ones he didn't win. For you to exclude Dr. Paul now, after all the evidence is considered, only serves to make Fox look biased, and nothing more than what Dr. Paul said it is: A propaganda machine for the war.
Don't you realize the ratings Fox News will get if you include Ron Paul in your show? Are you afraid Dr. Paul will once again blow away the competition in Fox's online post-debate polls? If the other guys truly had the support the national polls claim they have, one would think their supporters would get online and vote for them too? Why is it not taken seriously when Dr. Paul wins Fox's own polls? There would be a different story if Giuliani, Huckabee, or Romney won, I'm sure.
Also telling is your silence on this matter when confronted with inquiries regarding your reasoning for keeping Paul out of your debate. Fox has refused to answer for this indiscretion, and gives no response to the press when they ask the simple question, "why?". What this tells me, and many, many others - including people who don't support Ron Paul - is that you have no viable excuse for excluding Ron Paul, especially now, after the Iowa Caucus. You can't justify it, so you're ignoring it. It is not the place of the press to choose who will be heard, or which candidate is best. That is for the public to decide, hence the electoral process. Fox's arrogance will be its undoing.
By ignoring Dr. Paul, his many supporters, and those who disagree with your methods and your reporting, you ignore a growing group of people who are sick and tired of the status quo in this country. We are men and women from all walks of life - a true cross section of America, representing many racial and ethnic groups, religious beliefs, ages, and occupations. The fact that many of us are young, and use the Internet to voice our opinions by commenting on blogs, and voting in online polls does not make us any less important to this presidential race, or to the direction this country takes. You see, we have the most to lose from the current administration's shortsighted, irresponsible handling of our domestic and foreign policies. How dare you, Mr. Moody, for attempting to marginalize, and sideline a huge, and growing, group of Americans. We want nothing more than to restore the United States to the Republic is is meant to be. We believe in the basic principals of freedom, personal liberty and responsibility, sound monetary policy, and an unintrusive, transparent government.
How can Fox, a supposed conservative news organization, be in opposition to these traditional republican values? I'll answer that question for you: Because your boss, Rupert Murdoch does not believe in those basic tenets. If this country were run like Murdoch runs NewsCorp, there would be true revolution, and I don't mean posting comments on blogs, or dropping money bombs.
We live in a Republic here in America. The REPUBLICAN Party used to stand in defense of our basic tenets as secured in the Constitution. However, the name can no longer apply if the Republican Party continues on it's current path. Our party has been hijacked by neoconservative power brokers with an agenda totally antithetical to the traditional Republican Party, our American values, and the Constitution itself. One of the architects of this hijacking is your boss, Rupert Murdoch. If the GOP's course is not changed, Americans will no longer enjoy the freedom, liberty and democracy inherent in a republican form of government. Alas, we will have gone the way of many past nations and slipped into tyranny and oppression. There is only one name for a government like that: fascist.
I challenge you now, Mr. Moody, and I challenge you, Rupert Murdoch. Get back on the team and allow Ron Paul's voice to be heard on your debate this weekend. Just because you disagree with Dr. Paul's views gives you no legal, or moral, excuse to silence him. As a news organization, you have a responsibility to the citizens of the United States. Regardless of who We the People support, Fox's actions are a slap in the face of every American, and a grievous affront to the Constitution of the United States - the document that gives Fox the very freedom its trying to suppress.
Signed,
Paul G. American First Ron Paul Supporter Second

Nice article, Mr. Green, but you are wasting your breath on Fox. The only approach is to simply go around Fox. Do the best job possible with an alternative venue, and get the word out to the rest of us as to who are the corporate interests who buy ads in Fox media. So we can boycott them. No griping, no pleading. Just boycott 'em.
What makes any of us think they give a hoot what we think or say? The only thing that matters, and has ever mattered is numbers (and dollars). And we get bigger numbers by educating our countrymen.
The entire debate is rendered tainted anyway by this action.
While Fox News' action is outrageous, it should come as no surprise. Fox News is "news" in name only; time and time again it has proven itself to be neo-con "entertainment"...a true news program at least tries to make some effort at balanced presentation. As for me, I have stopped reading the Wall Street Journal in expectation of it being turned into a neo-con tabloid. And, oh, by the way; I am a Republican in the spirit of true Republicans such as Goldwater and Rockefeller...not the Bible-thumping, neo-cons who have all but destroyed what made the GOP great!
