Less then 25,000 votes caste in the whole state of Nevada, GOP Primary. Most rural counties have more people than that! Yet, 25,000 people, of which Mitt Romney didn't even get half, decides who wins the State of Nevada!
Mitt Romney, and the other Republicans who competed in Nevada illustrate precisely why the United States is in decline. Europe has legalized prostitution, and gambling, they even have legalized marijuana and who knows what else. And, isn't Europe's economy just buzzing along? What? They are in worse shape than us? Are you sure? Well don’t blame it on the socialism, and the high taxes, and the centralized control of government. No, it's that man-made global warming that's killing Europe's economy.
What you think it’s the debt? You think Europe is collapsing because government takes too much in the form of taxes, spends too much, and Europeans are too reliant on government? The situation is getting so bad in Europe that the German people want to drop the Euro and restart the Deutsch Mark, what a surprise! Of course England never gave up the Pound!
I never could understand why prostitution in Nevada was ok with the federal government, but multiple partner marriages in Utah were not! Probably an economic thing. Multiple partner families means a need for less houses, refrigerators, etc.; bad for the economy. Whereas, if you split up families…well demand for houses and all the accessories rise, good for the economy.
A person I consider friend has questioned my statements that Mormons aren't Christians. I am working on that. I am trying to get a definitive answer from a credible source. Whatever the answer is, I will report it here, and I will accept their answer. So, give me a few days. Pinning down some one of credible reliability on this issue is as difficult as determining whether Barack Obama is American. It's not as simple as it looks, or should be.
But, let's go back to Nevada. In Nevada we find one of the tales which has helped make America what it is today. Las Vegas, Nevada's most well-known city, and probably the heart of the state's economy was founded by gangsters. There are enough movies about it. Is this the diversity that America proclaims and embraces today? In one sense you could kind of look at Nevada as the first step towards liberation and equality for homosexuals.
On campaigning in Nevada I don't condemn just Romney. I condemn all candidates who campaign in Nevada. Unless, they went in to Nevada and told the people; "I am running because I oppose legalized prostitution and gambling. As President there is nothing I could do about it, except condemn it from the pulpit, but I would do that repeatedly."
You know, President Obama said in at least one speech that the United States of America is not a Christian nation. And the further down the road we go, the more I believe he might be right. It was reported last week that Governor Cuomo of New York is promoting legalized gambling in the State of New York! Americans can't design, build or make things; too unionized, too costly. So let’s just run casinos, but they will be smoke free!
Hey don’t look to Beck, or Hannity, or anyone on the right to yell too loud about legalized gambling. After all, it won't be long before the Republicans embrace it as part of their national economic development package.
Looking in the mirror can be a horrible thing. Americans don’t like to do that. They sing the “home of the free and the brave” and then do everything they can to avoid service in the American military. The song should actually be … “home of the free and some brave…” I would love to see a survey of Americans on the most important qualities. Brave wouldn’t hit the top 25!
