All the chips in, in South Carolina, Palin comes out for Newt!...

Sarah Palin endorses Newt in South Carolina as Romney concedes he pays 15% income taxes!

South Carolina has taken center stage in the 2012 GOP primary season.  Home of Fort Sumter in Charleston, and Cowpens, a battlefield where a ragamuffin group of Southerners soundly thrashed the British in the American Revolution, driving the Red coats from what we become Dixie, the people of the Palmetto State play a very important role in choosing the next president.

Former Governor, and darling of the Tea Party, Sarah Palin came out during the Hannity television show and announced she would vote for Newt, if she had a vote in the South Carolina primary!  Palin wants to see America given a real choice through a competitive primary system where the tenacity and commitment of candidates can be pitted against the problems America faces, and the many diverse audiences of a fifty state primary election season!  Palin is right.  Should Romney somehow clear the field early, the Conservatives will pack up.  40% of Americans, when polled, called themselves conservative!  yet, moderates seem to be the GOP choice since the “Gipper” was in the White House!

Mitt Romney has some serious questions to answer, it appears he has acknowledged paying a federal income tax rate around 15%!  Given Romney is New England royalty, a master of business and capitalism, the wealthiest man to be running for the office of President, one must wonder how he can justify paying close to nothing in taxes, while living in the socialist state of Massachusetts?  The bluest states in the Union are New York, Massachusetts, and California.  In these states, the public sector unions of government and education dominate, Romney Care, the forerunner of Obama Care was implemented, and state income taxes drive out the young and the retired.  In California's case, she rivals the financial crisis in Europe where socialism's crushing costs appear to be ending any hopes of a European Union.  Should Germany act in its own self-interest, and withdraw from the Euro, the cards would collapse.

Conservatives appear to be consolidating around Newt, and its time for the rest of us to do the same.  Rick Santorum is a solid Christian conservative, and he could be the right choice for Vice President.  He is young enough to serve as VP and then run for President.  As a major player in Pennsylvania politics, Santorum might be able to deliver Pa to the red column.  Mitt Romney on the other hand won't bring one New England state into the GOP column!

Newt is the most experienced, most well read, most American of the remaining candidates.  As an historian he sees the ebb and flow of world events in their proper perspective.  He sees globalism for what it is, a leech sucking out America's life's blood in terms of jobs and capital.

Gingrich has been a practical conservative when serving in a leadership role in Washington. He did the unthinkable when the GOP took the House back in 1994, and began the present conservative ascendancy in the US.  Gingrich forced Clinton to accept a balanced budget by returning to the White House with three different balanced budgets after two vetoes by Clinton.  Gingrich did not give up.

Newt is an excellent speaker and debater who will be able to go toe to toe with Obama.

Ron Paul’s libertarian attitude towards Gays, illegal drugs, and a wide array of social issues is just too “out there” for Christian conservatives.  Obama’s denial that America is a Christian nation should ring loudly in South Carolina!  A clear message that we are a Christian nation should be the foundation of this election season!  No issue is more important.  Not the debt, not the wars in the Middle East, not the economy.   If America does not stand with God, all the rest is meaningless.

South Carolina Christians step up! Set the standard. Make a declaration which will echo through the rest of the Republican primaries, we are Christians and our nation is a result of God’s plan, and mercy.

South Carolina can be the point where the race narrows to two for the marathon to the end.     .
