Comparing the Tea Party to occupiers is the difference between apples and oranges by Roland

The great misconception of our time is that of labeling the Tea Party an entity. It is not an entity, it is a movement. It was created by someone wishing to put a name on a bunch of average Americans who grouped together for the purpose of telling candidates running for office in the 2010 election cycle, “National Health Care” and the “Stimulus splurging” of the President and congress while Democrat’s were in control of both houses, needs to be STOPPED !
Out of control spending was the single most unpopular Government action which took place right after President Obama took office. It was the beginning of the constant druming of trillions of dollars in debt, trillions of dollars spending and a host of Government expanded activities. Of course the the spin from the white house was the change is necessary for the Government to gain control of the errant Bush administration actions. This did not sit well with those who had trouble swallowing the idea of, “Spending our way out of debt”. It does not work at home or in private business, so how on earth can it be expected to work in Government?
If those who wish to continue bashing the Tea Party and labeling them as fanatics, and far right wing crazies, cannot find the real reason behind their concern, soon they will learn how strong the movement is. Trying to find exactly what it has become is going to surprise even the so-called experts, because it is NOT conservative or Liberal, best put, it consists of “average American citizens” who actually dislike being jerked around with, sound bites, media spin, phony and partisan statistics, and distorted news coverage, no matter what their reasons are. Mom and Pop are actually in the movement because they know when they are being lied to.
In short order they turned the House of Representatives upside down, and put an abrupt stop to the spending frenzy. The spin again has been the new Congress people (2010 group) are out of touch and anti-everything. The freshman Congress folks are not followers, they are the Tea Party movement put in place to stop the madness and put us on the trail of Constitutional behavior! Who in the hell would think the Federal Government could actually compete with Private enterprise anyway ?, much less to bail out a private Company and put the Government in charge of it. The weakness of the Tea Party movement is that “guaranteeing a politician’s reliance, once elected, is fraught with error”. Special interests and the glitter of gold, finds it’s way to their hearts quickly, and we could possible loose them before the next election cycle, god forbid. These thoughts, I hang onto as the 2012 Presidential campaigns begin, the lies , the distortions, the media bias, pounding us, day in and day out , but wait a minute, that’s the reason Tea Partiers came out in 2010, and you ain’t seen nothing yet, if the President and Liberals start pounding Conservatives with Jesus lover’s, nay-sayer’s, tight fisted idiots, the ceiling is going to come down on them, from the weight of the great silent majority.
