I am considering adding a new feature to the Nolan Chart -- video articles. by Walt Thiessen

When I first launched the Nolan Chart web site in August 2007, I had no idea it would become as popular as it has become. I hoped for it, of course, but deep down I really wasn't sure it would happen. So when it did take off, it pleased me greatly, particularly since its original purpose was more of a hobby than anything else.
During the past four and a half years I have experimented with different ways of accepting reader comments. I have also worked on various kinds of online and search marketing to boost readership even more. However, for the most part, the site has remained the same as it always has.
One of the biggest changes we've seen during this time is the explosion in the public's interest in personal video, led of course by YouTube. Now that the 2012 election cycle is upon us, it occurs to me that perhaps the Nolan Chart should branch out a bit and add a new article publishing genre to the existing formula.
I am proposing including the capability for columnists to publish a video article on YouTube and then add that video to their account here at the Nolan Chart. YouTube would be the common archive for the videos, and all the video blogger would have to do is create their video, upload it to YouTube, than get the Share URL and submit it as a new video article, along with a title and description, via their account here on the Nolan Chart.
The same rules as for written articles would also apply to video articles. We would also, of course, refuse video articles that feature nudity or deliberate maliciousness.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you think of the idea. Also, let me know if you might be interested in either opening a new account or using your existing columnist accont to submit video articles of your own. I need to gauge the interest level of this idea before I commit the considerable time and energy needed to make it happen.
Thanks to all for your continued support of the Nolan Chart web site.
