The expected exit from the Republican race of Herman Cain has raised and quickly answered the question of “where does Mr. Cain’s support run to.” The head of Herman Cain forums [link edited for length] has declared his support for Congressman Dr. Ron Paul (R) for the Republican Nomination.

The “Cain Train” apparently has jumped onto a new track heading for Constitution Town and it is now moving full speed ahead. Wasting no time at all for grieving, the grassroots of Herman Cain have shifted gears and are now the grassroots of Ron Paul. Less than one hour after Herman Cain announced the end of his Presidential bid, the grassroots central for Herman Cain was already undergoing forum changes to signify the switch to Ron Paul, who is currently polling in 2nd place in Iowa, only points away from the statistical margin of error from 1st place. Herman Cain’s support, largely Tea Party driven, has traded the Godfather of pizza for the godfather of the Tea Party which was created on December 16th, 2007, when Ron Paul held a Tea Party money bomb fundraising day which netted Ron Paul over 6 million dollars in online donations. In one day.

The new combined support of former Herman Cain supporters joining the already massive Ron Paul grassroots army, only 30 days before the Iowa caucus, is sure to send a very strong message to the GOP: Obama is nearing the end of his Presidency and the Tea Party Darling, Ron Paul, is already picking out a new design for the Oval Office rug.
