Newt clarifies Immigration stance on Hannity...

He's listening, and responding, and that's something Obama has never done!

Newt goes on Hannity to clarify his position on Illegal Immigration.

Newt stated right off the bat the first priority is to seal the border!  He talked about the need for English as the official language. And went through a number of initiatives which are listed on his website, and he invited listeners to visit the site.  After all that, he said there was a need to deal with the issue of what to do with those who are here.  One can't fault him for that.  We do have to deal with that issue.  But I commend him for putting that issue in the proper place, after the border was sealed!

Newt went on to challenge President Obama to a series of debates on the model of Lincoln – Douglas; a brilliant idea, given Newt's ability to talk, to know the issues, the variables and where he wants to lead America.  Newt did good on Hannity today.   One very positive aspect of Newt has always been his courage in the face of criticism and his willingness to engage in public dialogue to air out issues, and do what was intended by the Founding Fathers, national discussion of issues.  One very interesting and kind of surprising item Hannity brought to the floor during Newt's visit was former President Clinton's recent positive comments concerning Newt Gingrich.

Now it could be, the ever smart politician Bill Clinton senses Obama is bleeding in the water, and that Hillary may actually have an opportunity. It could be that Clinton's positive comments about Newt were intended to shore up Newt against Romney going into the New Hampshire primary thus making it a bloodier fight.  Gingrich just received the endorsement of the New Hampshire Union Leader.  So Clinton's actions would be in parallel with the state's leading paper.

In the northeast organized labor is an essential major player in politics.  One of the reasons I oppose Romney is because he has had to make compromises with labor to get to the governor's mansion!  Mitt was a governor in a blue state, a very blue state.  A conservative could not be a major politician in that state.  Romney is the definition of a RINO.  A second reason to oppose Mitt is because of President Obama's denial that the United States is a Christian nation!  To refute that, we on the religious right must chose a candidate who will invite a Christian God to the governing table.  While many have attempted to cloud Mormonism, to say it is a branch of Christianity, ...if it is, it's way out on the farthest branch; too distant to be a real reclamation of the White House for Christianity.

So now we are back to Newt, Michele, Herman and Rick as the candidates who represent the conservative core of the GOP.  Herman may be the candidate the liberals most fear.  Herman as the candidate would once and for all discredit African American unity behind the Democrats.  It would also go a long way toward changing the perception of Republicans by Independents and other minorities.  And Cain is a good speaker, and thinker.  I don’t agree with  9 - 9 - 9 because I do not agree with national sales tax.  But on many other issues I like Herman Cain.

Santorum has been silent in my direction.

I am still hoping for a Palin revival, but things are looking better for us conservatives.  Most of all, I would like to see the primaries play the role they are intended to play, and that is allow te parties to choose their nominees through ballot instead of through the media selecting them.  Our nation is in desperate shape, and if you want someone to blame besides the Democrats and Republicans, my next target would be the mainstream media who abdicated their position of objectivity to follow Cronkite to the podium of socialism.

Last point, it’s time to replace Hannity as the number 2 hitter in the conservative talk show line up.  He has obviously sold out to the Israeli lobby, and has very little independent thought on most topics.  He is bought and paid for.  And his ego lets you know that he thinks he is more than he is.  And he’s in New York, the heart of liberal land!

I don’t know who number 2 should be, Mike Savage is a possible.  He is more like a radio version of Ron Paul.  He is independent and fearless.  He lives on the left coast which is not good, but he would be fresher by three hours at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

Just some thoughts as we progress towards the primary process.
