Newt just doesn't get it, and in my articles about him I questioned whether he wasn't part of the Bush - Clinton - Bush New World Order crowd? Disturbingly, even Rush Limbaugh defended Newt's position during his Wednsday show. Rush said Newt would not make the illegals citizens, thus blocking them from voting! How would we do that, we can't block them from voting as illegals! To give Rush credit, he did bring up the eventuality that the liberals would bring in the Courts to rule Gingrich's solution un Constitutional! He is so right. The problem with dealing with today's issues is that not matter what you do the Supreme Court is sitting over the corner with nail files, filing their nails and waiting to pounce on majority rule.
So now, with Newt's admittance that he would go easy on the illegals I am back on the election trail looking for someone to support. And guess what, Michele Bachmann is looking pretty good!
I visited Michele's website, and if her staff reads this, it needs help. Newt's site was fast, and it provided a boat load of information. Newt is a communicator, and I think Michele might be too, but we need to know a lot more about her thoughts on a wide variety of topics. And no, I am not watching the debates, and neither are most Americans, or even most Republicans. So it might be wise to get some more information on the site.
That said, I did do what I did for Newt and took information directly from Michele's page. So let’s take a look at what her site says, and maybe some comments from me. Again, the comments from the site will be bold italics.
Why Michele?
As a constitutional conservative, I believe in the Founders' vision of a limited government that trusts in and preserves the unlimited potential of the American people.
For this conservative this statement is a great start. America is moving towards a socialist Euro state. Our economy is floundering, in part, because Bush - Clinton - Bush - Obama have created a socialist mentality within our nation. Europe is going broke for the same reason the Soviet Union collapsed, and China moved towards capitalism, economies just can't carry the burdens and infrastructure of socialism. Economics is driving the political dynamics of Europe, will the Euro survive?
Government programs produce no wealth! Wealth is an item, not a dollar. Government does not produce anything, it a drain on the national economy. It must be restrained and provide only minimal necessary services which the private sector can't or won't.
Michele as a serving Congressperson has a voting record which can be checked. Do her votes sustain her conservative rhetoric? I believe they do!
I don’t believe that the solutions to our problems come from Washington: more than ever, Washington IS the problem, and the real solutions will come from your businesses, your communities, your schools and the most basic and powerful unit of all, your families.
Once again, Michele has hit one of the major problems right on the head. Government, expanding government is the problem. Congressperson Bachmann is supporter of Traditional Marriage, Pro Life, and has voted against Tax increases and the TARP bail out. But what's most important is that she does not believe the answers to our problems are in Washington! Washington is a like a dead carcass on the side of the road. You know what I mean, there is a dead animal and a flock of birds and other scavengers eating from the dead body. A report issued just weeks ago indicates that the highest salaries in the nation are in Washington, DC and that the counties surrounding Washington are the richest in terms of average salaries. Is that America? Detroit looks like a ghost town, 40 million working age Americans are out of work, yet our nation's capital is thriving?
We need to reclaim our independence from a government that has gotten too big, spends too much and has accumulated too much power – so that we can allow you to achieve your potential and expand the American dream for the next generation.
She shows wisdom with this statement. America is failing because our citizenry has bought into socialism sold by both parties. The RINO's which include Romney and McCain have sold out the nation, and worst of all diluted the only chance for reversing course, the GOP. Bachmann's seizure of the Presidential nomination, like that of Ronald Reagan, would provide an opportunity for conservatives to retake the GOP offering the American people a real choice between the liberals and conservatives.
My top priorities as a constitutional conservative:
Restore our economy and create millions of new jobs.
Repeal Obamacare and its unconstitutional mandates.
Achieve deep cuts in spending to reduce America's debt.
Strengthen the family and defend marriage.
Rebuild respect for America as the shining city upon a hill.
For me, Michele says a lot of she right things, but not enough. She rings the bell of a traditional conservative but our world has changed, the challenges are many and our nation needs a new operating national philosophy. Michele do you support national self – sufficiency as an end goal?
Do you support the concept that we provide our own fossil fuels, that we provide our own foods, that Americans retake the US marketplace with American made goods? This could mean the use of tariffs like Brazil does, would you support that?
Michele, do you admit that we are no longer the leader of the Free world and should withdraw from the Middle East and Europe, and redesign our Armed Forces to deal with real threats, like open borders?
The New World Order is failing in Europe. The Euro may not survive, the consolidation of a European Union may fail. But whether it does, or whether it succeeds will you be the architect of new American course that retains our own nationalism, our own independence? Or are you part of the globalists and neo-conservatives who see a world government as the next step?
Michele, I have some confidence in you, but you have to answer the bigger questions, the questions about our nation’s future.
