This is a wake up call, not a defeat This is a small setback, but not the "End of the World". We have passion, we have money, we have New Hampshire coming.by Big Louie

As of 10:27 EST. Ron Paul was in 5th place with only 10% of the vote
This is not a defeat, but a wake up call. Sitting around whining about the Fox Debates will not get Ron Paul elected. We must start making phone calls to our friends (Remember 6 Degrees of Seperation) to call their friends and so on, to spread the message of HOPE and FREEDOM.
Huckabee stands no chance in New Hampshire and that should end up a 3 way race between, Paul, Romney and McCain. This is our chance, we must get ourselves off the couch or away from just writing on comments sections and TAKE ACTION NOW!!! Read Teaching Pigs To Sing and then read this Fair Weather Patriots
A solid finish in NH will give us a good chance in Michigan, Jan 15th ,which will propel us to victory in Nevada and a strong showing in S.C. (Both on Jan 19th)
By the end of these 5 primaries (oh yeah, Wyoming Caucus is this Sunday ,Jan 5th.and Ron Paul is expected for a first or second place finish there) Ron Paul should be in good shape for the Feb. 5th Super Tuesday primary.
Remember, Huckabee has NO money, neither does McCain. Thompson has almost dropped out already and shouldn't be taken as too big of a threat to anyone except in S.Carolina. Giuliani is focusing on Florida (where he is polling 3rd)
The ad-wars and negative advertising will focus on Huckabee (and his millions gaffes) Romney(Flip Flops) and McCain(pro-war)
The race is not ALWAYS to the swiftest. That is very important to remember. In my business, we have had failed promotions that have caused us to work harder and smarter and then followed up with HUGE successes.
So, it could look like this by the end of the month. The overall ranking is at the end of the list
Iowa
1.Huckabee
2.Romney
3.McCain
4.Thompson
5. Paul
6.Giuliani
Wyoming
1.Paul
2.Romney
3.McCain
4. Huckabee
5.Thompson
6.Giulani
New Hampshire
1. McCain
2.Romney
3.Paul
4. Giuliani
5.Huckabee
6.Thompson
Michigan
1.McCain
2. Romney
3. Paul
4. Huckabee
5. Giuliani
6. Thompson
Nevada
1.Paul
2.Romney
3. McCain
4. Giuliani
5. Huckabee
6.Thompson
South Carollina
1. Huckabee
2. Thompson
3.McCain
4.Paul
5.Romney
6.Giuliani
Florida
No Prediction!!!
By assigning a score based on finish in each state, the winner would have the lowest total score (like in golf)
We would be in Third, but not very far behind. This would put us in position to take the lead during Super Tuesday
Of the 6 upcoming primaries, we could win 2 of them very easily and place second in 2 more. What more could we want? This is a real chance for us to win the nomination.

Good points...
-it was almost a three way tie for 3rd (pretty good for a lack of media coverage for Paul)
-perhaps it was really a four way tie for 3rd. (Giuliani was surprisingly low) - Assuming Thompson, McCain, Paul, & Giuliani each had roughly 10% Then it is conceivable that 6% of Giuliani's supports split to support Thompson and McCain to boost their numbers up to around 13%
Now,
The negative attack adds between the leaders can tear each other down leaving Paul unmolested.
Wyoming on 01/05/2008 may be a good showing for Rep. Ron Paul (although probably little media coverage) New Hampshire, with it's libertarian leanings, may be really big for Paul. Also, I suspect that Nevada on the 19th will be good for Paul especially if N.H. is big on the 8th.
Let's hope that the money raised by Rep. Paul can be put to good use in the lead up to the 5th of February.
Lastly, Paul's fund raising has been increasing at an exponential rate and far surpasses Huckabee. Slow and steady wins the race, and if Paul is picking up speed then all the better. I still remain optimistic for the Paul candidacy.
There was no way Paul was going to finish higher than 4th in Iowa. Its corn subsidy heaven and God country. Reality will hit Huck in New Hamspshire and our only two real challengers will be Romney and McCain. Lets keep it rolling folks. 10% for Iowa is amazing I think.
