Monday Night Football goes left...will you boycott this show?
Hank Williams Jr. was fired from Monday Night Football because he is what he appears to be, American! by Mark Vogl

The creation of Monday Night Football was an experiment in entertainment which immediately became a special American social phenomenon which rocked all of America for almost half a century.. From coast to coast, football on Monday night was a genuine genius creation in entertainment and sports. Monday Night Football was more than a football game, it was an established weekly event every fall. It actually extended the weekend, and it made Americans look forward to Monday ! The persona of Monday Night Football was pure America, it belted out through its theme song the defiance, the energy, the freedom that is the American spirit.
Now, the ruling elite reacting to the patriotism of Hank Williams Jr. fired him from his introductory role of Monday Night Football. Americans now have an opportunity to exercise on a nationwide scale social consumerism! Yes, its time to tell those who think they rule the United States, there is an American people who won't accept your censorship, your anti-Americanism. It's time now to send a signal, to find something else to do on Monday night. Hank Williams Jr. is one of us. He's just a man, just an American. And he is tired of the ruling elite, and tired of political correctness, and tired of both liberal and neo - conservatives who think they are smarter than the rest of us. This episode between Hank and the network executives may be a lesson for all Americans. Are the bosses saying, be careful what you say, you can lose your job! Right now, during this depression, you can lose your job.
"Are you ready for some football!" is a song known by all football fans. It is unique, it is proud, it touches our spirit and screams out what it is to be an American. I know, for you academics, or for you few Americans who dont enjoy football, you don't get it. But for the great majority of the nation, black - white, rich - poor, this is a song which people connect with America's most popular sport.
This incident with Hank Williams demonstrates that is America's values that are at the heart of this election and the soul of this nation. The transformation which President Obama promised as a candidate is in fact occurring. The word equality is changing its meaning wihtin the United States. Pre Obama, equality meant equality of political rights, and equality of opportunity. America was about individuals developing their own potential. But in the new Obama America equality means redistribution of wealth, and equality of material. There should be no wealthy, only the politically privileged and the rest of us.
This incident with Hank Williams is clearly an in your face act to say, this is the direction we are going in, and you best change your ways, you are no longer an American, you are now an american.
The consumer dollar is at least as powerful as your right to vote. This incident with Hank Williams is a national event, and is something all of us across the nation can react to. Imagine an America that decides to boycott Monday Night Football this coming Monday to express our disgust with ESPN, and with all the ruling elite who think they have the power to establish "politically correct" entertainment. Americans have an opportunity to use their consumerism to send a drect message. Think of all the advertisers whose dollars will be wasted if you are not there to see the commericals? Think of the publicity value of failed television ratings in reaction to ESPN's actions. Make a statement.
Well America, you have a choice. And you can send a huge message. This coming Monday night make a decision to do anything but watch football. Maybe read a Bible, maybe clean your guns maybe spend some time with your family, maybe read some American history. But there is one thing you should not do, and that's watch Monday Night Football..

I never watch football, so this is a non-issue for me. However, redistribution of wealth is not new, and it's not just an Obama thing. It's been going on for generations in both major parties. Your man Cain is one of the latest examples with his 9-9-9 plan, which would cut the corporate income tax from 15% to 9% while imposing two new flat income and sales taxes on the poor and working classes...a clear example of wealth redistribution.

Mark,
Ok, I have to say this and don't get me wrong but are you crazy? I mean that in the best possible way. You recently posted an article about an "American Underground" made up of people fed up with all the filth and corruption and elitist, left-wing types who are currently running things. I think you called it the "power brokers of darkness." My answer (the same one that I have given many times over, of which you usually ignore) is to use the power that we the American people have by using our money and consumer choices to send a clear message to the darkness power brokers; and I distinctly remember you replying that this idea is lame (your words) and that I should "think outside the box." You clearly stated that people know that using our money and making consumer choices like, oh I don't know, NOT purchasing the products that sponsor shows that we watch or turning OFF those programs to send a message that we don't like what they are delivering, DOES NOT WORK. Those were YOUR words Mark. This idea was completely lame.
Now I read that you are basically saying the exact same thing by suggesting that we all do anything on Monday night except watch Monday night football because that organization dared to fire someone with whom they didn't want to be associated (YOU called it censorship, I call it private business decision)!! So I have to ask the obvious question...are you insane? Or maybe the answer is that you don't like the idea when it's mine (or someone else's whom you don't like)? Either way, I can't help but feel a little bit of deja vu. WOW!!! A boycott to send a clear message!! What a great idea!
Or is it lame? I guess it all depends on what mood Mr. Vogl is in that day.
And censorship. That is an interesting one. I guess it is only censorship when it's a decision that you don't agree with, hmm? Censorship is a good idea when it's concerning stuff that you consider filth or garbage but it's a bad idea when it's a decision to disassociate from a person who's speech (albeit free) is clearly going to be considered hate speech by a great number of Americans. Huh. Very interesting indeed. Sounds like in your world, only those who agree with you should rule.
I just wanted to point out that you and I finally agree on something. It is a red letter day. The American people DO in fact have a good deal of power by how they spend their time and money. What was it you said? If we don't watch the show, we won't see the commercials; which I can only assume means that we won't buy those products? Where have I heard this before (scratching chin). :-)

Socialism is an economic strategy for preparing the largest number of unwitting individuals for the harvest by the banker/politician/academic cabal. The NFL is a fantastic example of how a socialist program can create the largest, ripest for the picking, mass of unwitting victims. The NFL is merely a harvesting tool for the corruption and corporatism that our congress has created.
Every limited government supporter should boycott the NFL, permanently...time for a lifestyle change. Do something productive for 2 hours every Sunday and you'll soon forget all about the silly game that is central to the progressive indoctrination at public schools and central to the continued pacification of the adult herds once they are secure in the feedlot.

I agree with your pal Joey that the Hank II decision was a business decision. Censorship is an action taken by government or forced upon other to take by government. In this case I doubt any government coercion was used.
Quite simply, Hank's influence had turned from unifying to divisive with regard to the goal of delivering the largest number of unwitting 'donors' to the corporate advertisers who support the Socialist NFL and demand the largest audience possible for each and every game; making this purely a business decision.
