Fed failure at border forces states to act!

20 million illegal immigrants are too much of burden for the states, and the gates still have not been shut by the Federal government!

Headed towards 17 trillion in debt, the federal government has neither corrected its' policy with respect to our border with Mexico, nor accepted the full cost of their failure to do their federal responsibility!  20 million illegals place a great burden on all aspects of local, state, and federal resources.

It's difficult to imagine any full blooded American citizen would want Obama Care, given the dismal job the federal government has done with the responsibilities it already has. Of those responsibilities, how ineffective the federal government has been in controlling our own border, and protecting our nation from an invasion of illegal immigrants,  and the government's ignoring d to the will of the people on this issue should provide clear evidence of its inability to manage even the most basic issues of national governance.

And once again, this is not a one party problem.  Both parties have failed.  The most frustrating failure was former Texas Governor George Bush's failure when he was President.  As Governor of one of the main avenues into the United States for illegals, Bush should have known the stresses the illegals put on state and local government agencies and services.  And he should have known the complexity and difficulty of closing the border.  Maybe he did, and that's why he didn't even attempt it.  But after September 11th, and the recognition that America is hated by parts of the world, and those parts want to hurt us, you would think Bush's War on Terrorism would have included sealing off the southern border!

When President Bush did NOT act to seal the Southern border, I lost all faith in the credibility of the War on Terrorism.  It was like saying; "lock your front door because there are burglars in the neighborhood, but don't worry about the back door."  It was ludicrous.  And it helped solidify my thought that the wars in the Middle East were not about the US, but about Israel and isolating Iran.  And it helped convince me that the US would pursue the economic theory of "globalism" regardless of cost to the United States.

For those that don't remember; globalism is a policy which seeks the free access across borders of people, money, ideas and goods.  However globalism has been modified to some extent by the reality that Israel, and her supporters, does not want Iran to have nuclear weapons!

But for America, globalism has wrecked the once powerful United States.  We used to be the richest consumer in the world.  The heartland of America was the most fertile market place in the entire world.  And if America had developed a policy of American self-sufficiency after the end of the Cold War, we would not be suffering the economic problems we face today.  But, through massive trade deficits, the export of American technology and industry, and the federal government's allowance of the influx of 20 million poor foreigners, our nation has collapsed into the great mass of nations around the world which the US saved through World War II (1941 - 1945) and the Cold War (1945 - 1991).

Both political parties are responsible for the massive illegal immigration, and neither is serious about the problem today.

One policy which could have really forced the federal government to act would have been to force the federal government to carry all costs, ( education, health care, criminal justice, social ) related to illegal immigrants, while simultaneously reducing equal amounts spent on illegals from all other federal spending. Therefore, spending for defense, education, health care, the environment all should have been reduced to offset the costs of the illegals.  This would have created the political pressure within the ruling elite to fix the borders!  But neither party even considered it.

Now states like Arizona and Alabama are acting because of the affects illegals on their own state resources.

And who, among the Republican contenders has actually proposed sealing the border with Mexico?  Who has a real answer to the problems associated with this issue?

The economic crisis this nation faces is not caused by one or two policies/issues, but by multiple causes.  These causes include globalism.  Globalism is the logic behind allowing twenty million illegals into the United States. It is the logic for dependence on Middle Eastern oil, to the extent of 500 billion dollars per year. Globalism is the logic for the export of US developed technologies, the massive annual trade deficits, and the destruction of American manufacturing.  These issues combined with an out of control federal budget, the failure to have to propose and pass a balanced budget, have all contributed to today.

If we can agree that President Obama cannot be re-elected, than we need to focus on forcing those who can be elected to address the question; how will you completely redirect American policy so as to recreate an America of economic potential and prosperity that will put Americans back to work, and end the influx of tens of millions of poor?
