Are America's citizens smart enough to follow what is really going on concerning the debt ceiling?.

President Obama has offered no plan, and the Democrat Senate Leader Harry Reid said the second House plan was dead on arrival.

The House of Representatives has already passed a plan to deal with the debt ceiling, the Senate has not taken it up.  Then yesterday Speaker of the House Boehner was trying to rally votes for a second plan he had put together, and senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D) said the plan was dead on arrival, before the vote evn happened in the House.

What has happend in Washington is the Democrats seem to have been successful their shedding responsiblity for this crisis to Speaker Boehner and the House.  The Democrats are using this situation to tear up the internal workings of the Republican majority in the House, while simultaneously transferring any blame for inaction to the Speaker.  The Democrats can't govern, but they play the blame game of poiltics as masters.

Now, what should the Republicans do.  Simple, what they did. Stand by the first bill passed, and say; we have passed Cut, cap and balance,  you vote on that.  Once you voted on it, if it fails, you offer the next plan, we have done our job. You have a bill, if you don't like offer one.

This debt ceiling issue is setting the framework for Election 2012.  The Tea Party did its job.  In the one House where they have a good sized presnence their bill has been passed.

Let's review the basic facts:

1. The United States of America has a 14.5 trillion dollar deficit

2. It will take about 2.5 trillion dollars in raising the  debt ceiling so as to fund the government til after the 2012 election.

3. The Democrats are in control of the White House, the entire Executive branch, and the Senate of the United States.

4. The House of Representatives have already passed a bill to deal with the debt ceiling, the Senate has not voted on the bill passed by the House.

5. The nation has not adopted a budget in the 800 days of the President Obama's administration.  The House has passed a budget, the Senate has not even proposed one, so the nation has had to be run on a continuing resolution.  (The Republicans should refuse this.)

6. The Democrats who controlled the House, Senate and White House before 2010 passed Obama Care, a national health care plan.  The cost for this plan, the most expensive program ever adopted b the United States is not even included IN THIS DEBT CEILING calculation.

The mainstream media, acting as the sound system for President Obama and Harry Reid are misleading the American public concerning the events.  While the Democrats claim the Republicans will not compromise, the Democrats don't act!

In Washington, D.C., its time for the Republicans to take a break.  They have done their job.  The Republicans have passed a debt ceiling bill, the Senate has not.  The Democrats are refusing to lead, instead they are the "do nothing party."  Americans you elected them.  You put Obama in the White House.  You let the Unions tell you how to vote, and you put Democrats in the Senate.  Have they proposed a budget? No.  Have they proposed a piece of legislation to deal with the debt ceiling crisis? No.  If you are about playing gotcha like kids do in school...well I guess you are smiling.  Because in one sense it is funny.  The community activist is doing what community activists do...they stir people up.  They make signs to carry in the streets, and they can start chants.  But they dont solve problems.  They can't lead to a finish.

Speaker Boehner you are playing their game.  You are worried about your Washington peers instead of the United States of America.  We know our nation is in trouble. We know there is a chance that thing will get worse, whether something is passed, or not.  What we want to know is does the Republican Party have a real vision on how to rebuild America?

I believe there is an unmentionable concern here, whether or not there will be enough money to cover entitlements in the any term if the debt limit is not increased. I'm not talking about SS or the military, if the entitled or even a portion of them don't receive their largesse, what will they do? The mobs have been practicing, Obama can wind them up, thats what community organizers do, don't ya know. So is all of this just part of the end game begun in January 10' 1900 that is? I listened to a gentleman go on a rant about his SS last night in a restaurant. He was inconsolable, Well! there you go. Their game is running wide open.
