First things first let us define some terms,

Doomsday: a day of final judgment: a time of catastrophic destruction and death (Merriam-Webster online)
Self-fulfilling Prophecy; a prophecy declared as truth when it is not " may sufficiently influence people, either through fear or logical confusion, so that their reactions ultimately fulfill the false prophecy. (Wikipedia)
Today fear mongering it seems is at an all time high. With the rise of the internet and the ease of gathering information, today’s levels of paranoia propaganda have far surpassed those of Y2K. From Avian flu to Martial Law in America, Terrorist Bombings to the chants of "9/11 was an inside job" and let us not forget "The Next Great Depression" coming to a city near you. It is no wonder that according to the American Heart Association, Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the U.S. However, what is the reality of these doomsday scenarios? How many people are falling victim to them? Most importantly how many will cause further increase in Zanix and Zoloft prescriptions?
It is true America is at a crossroads. Political parties are restructuring, enemies foreign and domestic are hardly identifiable, the confusion of a post 9/11 world is just the beginning. China is on the rise and Russia is making a comeback. Are we a Democracy or a Republic? Let us not forget Globalization has revived that archaic "The World is Flat" theory. Not to mention "Truth seekers" are out to an unusual extent and "5 Cases of MRE’s military disaster survival food" sold on e-bay for $260.00 with a low $86.00 shipping and handling fee. (Ebay.com item # 120202444852) There were almost 400 listings under e-bay’s "freeze dried food, MRE's" category while writing this article. In addition, they have plenty of bidders vying for them.
My question is if the "Doomsday" scenario is nigh why are Ebayer’s selling these items? I mean if there truly is a reason to start storing food like a chipmunk, why not keep them for that "rainy day". From Terrorism to Global Warming and "Freedom to Facism" (Aaron Russo, 2006), disaster is lurking around every corner of American life and there are plenty of culprits in popular culture. The "New World Order", no wait Niburu and 2012, even better "Terrorists" Even more worrisome "Global Warming" Oh wait it’s the Neo-cons, no the Democrats, no wait the Republicans. Those darn fundamentalist Christians with those Left Behind movies, (Lehaye, Jenkins 2000) and that Megiddo, March to Armageddon from those guys over at Adullam FIlms (Addullam Films 2003) they are to blame. No wait it’s the Federal Reserve freakin’ Greenspan I liked him better when he wrote his essay "Gold and Economic Freedom" (Greenspan 1966) , Oh no we are in for it now, the "Housing Bubble" or is it the "Credit Bubble"? Is Avian Flu to blame? Damn birds. I solved the crime it was the Gay’s they stole the rainbow and now they want to steal marriage ooooooohhhhhhhh. No it's the immigrants and the ACLU. Nope, it was George Dubbya and his accomplices Cheney, Condi and Rumsfeld. Nope it was Hillary for not being the one under the desk in the oval office (don’t lie you know you were thinking the same thing) or is it Giuliani I mean he did dump his wife on national television I mean we knew before she did Imagine what he would do to the rest of us. Furthermore how did Rudy know WTC 7 was coming down? Did he hear Mr. Silverstein give the order to "Pull it"?

Hillary has been kind enough to let the cat out of the bag and confessed to Obama doing coke as a teen (I heard that some critics say Hillary knew because she sold it to him while in Arkansas). Maybe he didn’t snort real hard, Hey "I didn’t inhale" worked for Clinton, anything is possible. Ok, Ok I admit it Ron Paul is doing much better than I and the rest of the world expected and there isn’t much I can say about him other than he has a sign on his desk that reads "Don’t Cheat, the Government Hates Competition" Should I garnish points being he is a politician? Kinda like a guilty by association pre-emptive strike. I mean he did say something like Mike Huckabee’s ad reminded him of fascism. Is Thompson still running?
There is some good news, the Kennedy assassination has been solved, yep; it was the driver who shot the fatal bullet. Does that mean it was not coming from the "Grassy Knoll"? Whew, one less conspiracy theory to worry about. Now we can focus on the validity of the Moon Landing and the 600 alleged Fema Concentration camps in America courtesy of the $385 million dollar Halliburton contract. I heard it was for the illegal immigrants. (Alaskafreepress.com) What does that mean for Amnesty?
Could it be that an "Enemy" can no longer be clearly defined and we have been forced to create new ones while rekindling old ones? During the good ole’ days of the Cold War, the Enemy had a face, it had an ideology, it had a name "The Soviet Union". The irony is the U.S. and the Soviet Union teamed up against Hitler. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, it’s true, it’s true. Of course that only applies until the common enemy is defeated. So once Hitler was down for the count the Soviet Union was the "New Threat to Peace and Prosperity" Today it is Osama Bin Laden and his rag tag gang of cave dwellers, but I thought Osama Bin Laden was our ally against the Soviet’s? Now that the Cold War is over it is the U.S. vs. Radical Islam. The same goes for Saddam Hussein and Fidel Castro etc. Talk about entangling alliances, will we ever learn?
The horrors of 9/11 are too close to home for me. My cousin was a claims analyst for ARS Retail Group, Aon Corp. She was in Tower 2 on September 11th. She is missed and will be remembered. We all demand Justice but how is it to be attained amidst the confusion stifling America’s ability to define the terms and identify the enemy? Are our own fears the enemy? What is life without the pursuit of happiness? Is freedom attained by stockpiling MRE’s and canned goods? Is there a simpler way, a more logical way? I believe so, define the terms and take your concerns to the ballot box, not just the Military surplus store. I'm not saying you should stop preparing for a disaster but that we should start preventing them just the same. Here are some tips to do just that
1. If you live in flood prone, earthquake prone, tornado prone areas MOVE!
2. If you feel the Politicians of the day are taking you for a ride get off the pity wagon and go Vote.
3. If you feel the mainstream media is not being fair and balanced, stop watching the boob tube and take your kids on a field trip to the Library.
4. If you are afraid of the Police, befriend one. These men and woman put their life on the line every time they respond to calls of domestic violence, shots fired, a burglary in progress etc… You would be on pins and needles to if you had to deal with crime scenes all day. Moreover, please adhere to the speed limit and wear a seat belt, it will increase your mortality rate and decrease your Attorney’s fees.
5. If you are worried about illness, take vitamins, wash your hands regularly practice safe sex (abstinence is 100% effective) don’t use drugs, don’t send your kids to school sick and make sure your meats and fish are cooked well. Exercise regularly, get plenty of rest, eat your veggies and remember cleanliness is next to Godliness. Oh and stop overusing antibiotics and start eating more garlic. Adopt a pet; their companionship also increases your mortality rate. (Benefit doesn't kick in till your furry little friend is potty trained)
6. Worried about the economy, STOP USING THOSE CREDIT CARDS. Start living within your means. Learn to save your money. If you buy it with credit you do not own it, it owns you. Say NO to PAY DAY Loans and go visit your friends and family for dinner. Then invite them to your house on the good days, Like the saying goes "One hand washes the other and both hands wash the face"
7. Worried about Armageddon, enjoy your days in this life for no one knows when the next life calls for them. Love your family, make peace with your neighbors and stop long enough to smell the roses.
If this is not enough, when you purchase your Emergency Preparedness Kit don’t forget the Prozac.

Fear mongering has been the prominent tactic in Democratic Party strategy for 200 years. The commie-phobia that swept the nation after WWII caused the Republicans to buy into the Truman Doctrine and the Domino Theory of the Communist take over of South East Asia.
Since then, fear has been the primary driver behind both major parties. Knowledge is the antidote to fear. I think the Internet can be a tool for eliminating the politics of fear. The neocons and the Prison Planet people have shown the Internet can be a tool for enhanced fear mongering. The Air America people and the infotainment/news industry has shown that the internet is a great tool for spreading ignorance, apathy and indignant outrage through their programming.Â
I believe the next wave of political change will be fueled by a fearless, self-educated segment of society that has learned to use the internet as a constant force for good.
In the free market of ideas there are no subsidies for poor choices.

It is arbitrary of you to assert that those who say 9/11 was an inside job are the fearmongers and our government, with its colored status of terror alerts, is not. The issue is whether we should be more concerned about terror from foreigners or our own government. Then the issue becomes evidence, not theory. A good place to start is architects and engineers for 911 truth( use a search engine). Another good place is patriotsquestion911.com
David, Richard Gage of ae911truth is a liar and a fraud.He has deliberately manipulated videos to support his absurd claims.He makes demonstratably false statements about the collapses of the buildings.And the other site you list is nothing but a collection of tinfoil hatters ranting and raving.
