Where is the outrage? How about the common sense? Is there anyone awake out there? Why are acts of treason being allowed to be perpetrated against the American people? Have you ever asked yourselves how Congress can resolve their conflict of interest in representing youthe People and the interest of the foreign US Corporation that sends them their pay checks? I am convinced that they cannot!
I would like to go back to sleep too, but I love my country. I love my unalienable rights. I love the vision of freedom our Founding Fathers fought for and how they tried to limit the intrusion of government in our lives. They saw something far into the future. They saw something beyond themselves. They knew how bloated and criminal power would become if government wasnt limited.
I look at bills like HR 2411 Reduce America's Debt Now Act of 2011. If passed we the People can now voluntarily, (sic) have any amount we choose deducted from our paychecks, per a request on our W-4 forms to be sent directly to the US Treasury to help reduce the national debt! We are in debt because there is no common sense coming out of elected servants. The problem is who are they servants to? The real gut puncher is that NO, you may not use your contribution as a tax deduction! Then you must remember the Paperwork Reduction Act, so now we can print a bunch of new W-4 forms and employer red tape and accountability forms at the expense of the taxpayers. It just gets more insane by the day! Dont forget taxes are voluntary too! However, if you choose not to volunteer you end up in prison like Ed and Elaine Brown and thousands of lesser known cases.
President Obama, being true to his word is now legislating law, bypassing Congress and dictating by Presidential Executive Order. We now have a Dream Act. This is nothing short of treason in my opinion! Presidential Executive Orders were never meant to be used to bypass Congress to write law. They were to give directives to the Presidents Cabinet and staff. This is an absolute breach of power! What ever happened to our checks and balances in this country?!
While Im ranting this morning Id like to bring up the Presidents birth certificate issue! The President is not eligible to occupy the Oval Office! It has nothing to do with his birth certificate or where he was born! The birth certificate is merely a distraction. He is not eligible to hold the Office, because he is not a natural born citizen, period, end of story. His father was a Kenyan and a subject of the Crown. This fact alone makes Barry Soetoro aka Barack Obama, ineligible. Why has Congress refused to demand impeachment or removal from Office based on this fact?
Every American should be calling and writing their elected servants every day demanding that this issue of the Presidents eligibility be addressed and all laws and Presidential Executive Orders that he has signed be rescinded immediately! There should be an investigation into his Social Security fraud allegations that have been made public and compelling. The birth certificate is minor in the big picture when considering that on so many levels, the criminal and unanswered questions surrounding the sitting President.
Last week my friend Bob informed me that, Its just the way it is and there is nothing you or I can do about it. My response was, Bob, it is exactly that attitude and behavior that got us into this mess to begin with. Sit and watch me, Bob. I am going to make a difference. I am taking responsibility for my freedom, for the future of my children and grand children and the way it is, is going to change.
This morning after a light breakfast and a cup of coffee I called the offices of my elected public servants and started asking the tough questions. Tomorrow I will call again. I encourage you to do the same. Let them know we are watching, that we love our country, that they represent us and that we want them to start acting like it. And not least of all we want them to live by the Oath of Office they took to uphold the Constitution.

Gwen, get glasses.
You're mixing up a whole bunch of basically sound ideas with a dog's vomit of conspiracy theories. Taxes are voluntary? We passed the Income Tax amendment, thus changing the Constitution the right way - and this was among the last time we did so, by the way - to alter what the government was allowed to do.
And get over it: the Prez is legit. Doesn't matter who his father is or was. Barry Hussein is a US citizen. If you've got quibbles because he's one of the many solipsistic, self-indulgent, holier-than-thou tyrannical "progressives" among our nation's citizens, then quibble about that. But drop the whole circus side-show over his legitimacy.

Gwen,
Don't waste your breath or your valuable time calling up your elected officials. I assume you don't run a multi-national corporation nor do you frequent $5,000 per-plate fundraising events, so why should they listen to you, a concerned citizen. Instead, I would suggest you spend your time working with the various groups out there who are working to put together an Article V Constitutional Convention so that we can make the necessary changes to the highest law in the land to be more accountable to its people rather than to its corporate sponsors.
And please let the "birther issue" go. Obama is a US Citizen who was born in the United States. If you don't want to recognize the fact that Hawaii is a state or whether a person's citizenry is dependent on the nationality of the father, that's your business. But the law is pretty clear on this one.
