Ron Paul's Death Rattle

On the eve of the Iowa caucus, Fox bans Ron Paul and now ABC considers doing so as well. These noises are the death rattle of a dying establishment. It is morally, spiritually, historically and intellectually bankrupt. It has no defense against the common sense arguments in reason and historical fact that Ron Paul brings to public debate. It does not and cannot challenge what he says.  It does not argue that what he says is wrong but merely that it is not allowed, is, in other words, heresy.  Its greatest fear is the fear that ordinary, common sense people will hear the voice of reason and compassion and put them out of business with their thunderous applause.

It is therefore reduced to detonating the fascist's most desperate and barbaric weapon, censorship, and then pleads pathetically that it is not fascist and that people who say it is are crazy- tin hat conspiracy theorists. In earlier times we were called heretics and hanged or burned at the stake. We are not saints. We make our mistakes. But the crime for which we are hanged is allegiance, in defiance of doctrines and dictations of the priesthood, to that common sense and analytical competence with which we are endowed by our Creator. We, the people, God's people, are fully competent to distinguish shit from Shinola.

Of course they don't call themselves priests any more. Our First Amendment put an end to that. It took them two centuries and change to come up with the droll notion of calling themselves "top tier", instead. Like that sweet American soul Jack Kerouac said, "The only trouble you have fighting city hall is that is keeps changing its name", but they're the same puppies. One way or another, they murder or silence the man of independent mind

They do it because they covet the authority that we ordinary people are ever ready to give to that man. We, the people are ever ready to empower the man who appeals to our better angels with plain spoken, common sense truth. History and morality are not that complicated. We want liberty and justice for all. All we want in exchange, is the great right of the people to be left alone. All they want, as a certain carpenter from Galilee noted, is the highest most seats in the assemblies and the flattery in the market place. I would add to the carpenter's wisdom, that they will do murder to get the cash and the power but the point remains. Given free elections, which America made possible for the first time in history, the people rejoice to elevate the man of independent mind to the highest most seat in the assembly.

On this eve of the Iowa caucus, I dare to dream of electoral victory for Ron Paul and for the liberty for which he stands. The high priests of Fox News and ABC and their Pope, Rupert Murdock, may succeed in aborting that electoral victory- succeed in aborting man's ancient dream of government of, by and for the people- not the priesthood. But they will not abort the Ron Paul Revolution. The bottle is uncorked and the genius of liberty is loosed. It summons the voice of Jefferson, thundering down the corridors of history and distilling the ancient prayer of all civilized men and women since the dawn of time into this promise, that, "I shall not die while barbarism and despotism reign over so many parts of the globe".

Jefferson is not dead and neither shall you nor I die- in the spirit of liberty. Neither shall the first American Revolution nor the Ron Paul Revolution die. Neither shall the brave men who defended liberty at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Anzio, Normandy and Iwo Jima have died in vain. We have no right to die. "It is rather for us, the living, we here be dedicated to the great task remaining before us- that, from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they here, gave the last full measure of devotion- that we here highly resolve these dead shall not have died in vain; that the nation, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people by the people for the people, shall not perish from the earth." (A. Lincoln)

The candles kindled on the 4th of July in 1776 have burned too deeply into the hearts and minds of men, to be extinguished by moral and intellectual cretins of the diminutive stature of Mr. Murdock and his mindless, goose stepping lackies.

Rhetorical question:

Can a candidate win?

If everyone refuses to report it?

I should have said this, previously, but the title of your article suggests that Ron Paul is dying.  A death rattle is a sound made by the throat of a corpse in its death throes.  (I once worked for an undertaker). Still,  a great article!

The government and corporate controlled media is being exposed. My colleged aged kids are getting the greatest history lesson ever, of the many parallels between the WWII Nazi censorship and propaganda machine, and how it resembles the current government and corporate media relationship, which produces the same result in America today. None of us knew the depth of this corruption, nor, do most even pay attention. It is VERY important for every American to go to Google.com, and type in FREEDOM TO FACISM, and watch the movie produced by the late, Academy Award winning director, Aaron Russo. All the pieces of the puzzle will then fit together. It will explain why no politician has been able to make a difference thus far. I pray that we together, as Americans, can save this sinking boat will all occupy.

What I love about this Revolution and Ron Paul is the fact that Ron Paul is not a charismatic leader which means that it is the message stupid.... I have been studying the arguments and debate that the founding fathers had about the ideals that defined what this country would stand for, and i am compelled to belief that this is a battle worth fighting for. Hell Thousands have died birthing and defending this document (Our Constitution) so how can we sit back and do nothing? We must wage this war on ignorance before it is too late.

Fox News is a traitor to the cause they claimed to champion.  I am no longer a viewer of Fox. May their ratings plumet!

Great article. This year has been an eye opener for me. I now know what I always suspected. Fox and there affiliate radio station here in St. Louis 97.1 will suppress a candidate that threatens the establishment view of the world. Mr. O'rielly is no better and his spin never stops when mentioning Ron Paul. Keep looking out for me Mr. O. I thought Hannity was going to have a heart attack after one of the debates when Dr. Paul was winning. It was a riot to watch him in a state of panic.

Anyway GO RON PAUL
