America can be great again...just trust God, freedom, and yourself
Times are tough but its not April, 1861, its not the great Wall Street Crash, it's not Pearl Harbor! Call on God, He's there waiting for us... by Mark Vogl

No doubt, times are tough. We as a people made a mistake. Maybe alot of mistakes. We elected people like Weiner and President Obama. We let both parties run the credit card and push God out of the halls of governance. We looked at our wallets instead of up towards the lovely blue sky. We let the nation that God gave us whither. We pushed away the very values and history which made us what we were...the greatest nation on earth. But we can get it back! This is not our last days...
For some generations, who didn't live through tough times, who didn't live in depression, or war. Who didn't live when we doubted ourselves in the late 70's things look mighty bleak. They didn’t see Ronald Reagan lift the US, and set the stage for our nation’s greatest victory, the Cold War. 500,000,000 people liberated from communism! The younger generations never saw America when it was all it could be.
America is a great nation, or can be a great nation again because of what it was built on. Regardless of revisionist history, the fact is this was a Christian nation! We were founded on the Bible, God, Christ. We were never perfect, but we were the hope of the world. And for many years in many ways we lived up to that hope. To regain our joy, our hope, our dreams we have to go back to God. Not just on Sundays, and not just at a prayer at the dinner table. We have to go back to Him in our lives. He must be with us in our business, in our life's decisions. And in the halls of governance. Let God in, He will push the darkness, depression and the devil out. God sent Christ for the sinners. For me, and for you. You don't have to be perfect. Not even close. But you do have to believe. You do have to believe there is a Heaven and that you can get there. You do have to believe that Heaven is not on earth. It can't be, and won't be. And you do have to believe Christ is the way! This is the root of a great nation. Stop lookin’ to Washington for the answer...start lookin’ to God for the answer.
This is so important. Nothing more important than this if we want America back! Why?
Because the second great foundation of America is you. You and me. America is about liberty, freedom. It’s not about money, not about who has more, who has a new car. It's about the freedom to think, to do, to be. America is about loosing the spirit which God placed in each one of us. It’s about the possible...it erases the fences of impossible. America is the manifestation of a human dream since Adam and Eve. It's about using the talents given by God to do His work.
You know, in the Bible it is the Jews who are the chosen people. It is their story we read. It is their mistakes, their rejection of God we see repeatedly. And it is about their victories when they follow Him. But we have had those stories here in America too. We committed great sin with slavery. Not the sin of the Ten Commandments, but the sin of placing God's vessel, the human individual, under the subordination of another human. Each of us has a spot for the Holy Spirit, for God. That is what makes us all equal. God is with each of us. When we practice Christian liberty and freedom we embrace the promise of God to be more than we could ever be. We accept God as our guiding partner.
Am I preaching, maybe. But look around. Look around at what human secularism, and government, and political parties have given us. Look at the slums, look at the devastation of illegal drugs. Look at the pure waste of pornography. Look at what we have become. Are we better as a people today? I say no. I say we are so much worse off, and worse, headed in the wrong direction.
We have the tools to correct our situation. We have the blue prints. We have the Bible and the Constitution. We have the actual writings of the Founders. We don’t need to read the histories written today by men not fit to tie the shoes of our Founders. We have each other. We have our churches. And we have the knowledge that we have a bountiful land, filled with the resources to make us great once again. All of it is here. Start tearing down government, federalizing our nation. Let the states be what they were intended to be, fifty liberty laboratories. Fire half of all the judges in black robes. Put a limit on how many lawyers there can be. Instead, teach boys to be men. Instead start making things again. Technology is a tool, not the foundation of a society...at least not a society I want to live in.
Someone asked how do we fix this? What do we do? Here it is in the simplest terms:
1. Repeal completely Obama Care.
2. Withdraw from the Middle East. Remain a committed ally and friend of Israel, but stop wasting resources and American lives.
3. Open up drilling and energy exploration within the United States
4. Take control of the border, real control with tens of thousands of troops or Homeland Defense personnel.
5. Stop printing money, refuse to raise the debt ceiling. Government, live within your means.
6. Forgive all federal school loans, and shut down half the public colleges. An entire generation chained by debt.
7. End abortion, for any reason.
8. Make paying social security optional after someone is 50 years old.
9. Make Bush tax cuts permanent.
10. Give the FCC the power to take foul language, sex, etc off the air waves. Or allow the creation of a Christian television system which covers all sports, news, programming, etc without the foul language, commercials, etc. Give the American consumer a real choice, one that allows us to choose against materialism, sin, etc.
America has proven one thing. We can be what we want to be. The question is, are the American people smart enough to make a wise choice. So far, ..they haven't proven they can. But, we have the freedom to reach for real Hope and Change.
