I pay pretty close attention to the blogosphere and articles about Ron Paul because I support his candidacy. I'm sure many other Ron Paul supporters do the same and have run into a high number of hit pieces about him.
The problem with many of these blog "articles" is that they rarely delve into what they believe is wrong with Ron Paul's ideas. When these bloggers don't get into detail, there is really nothing intelligent to debate in the blog comments.
The reason I write today is to sincerely ask those who don't support Ron Paul to tell me why they believe Ron Paul is wrong. I have set up a special email address for people to respond to. If you are up to the challenge, please keep your email civil; NO name-calling, NO foul language. Emails of this type will not be read. If you are going to say that Ron Paul is naive, foolish, uneducated, etc. on a particular policy, please explain why you think that way. Please keep in mind that I may use portions of email responses to place in my blog as examples of responses that I choose to address. No names or identifiers of and kind will be distributed, I will keep your privacy.
My motivation is that I want a REAL debate on the major problems we face here in the U.S. I am tired of seeing meaningless blogs and tired of turning on the talk radio in the car or the TV in the evenings and hearing nothing but the latest political scandal. If I had a dollar for every time I have heard "Weiner" this last week, I'd be taking a nice vacation somewhere with my earnings.
So please, let's open real, meaningful debate about Ron Paul. The deadline to get your responses in will be June 17th, 2011 at 5pm PST.
