Ron Paul's announcement that he is, once again, running for president is a HUGE mistake by Raven West

Ron Paul does not want to be President of the United States.
Ron Paul did not want to be President of the United States when he ran as a Libertarian in 1988, and he didnt want to be President of the United States when he ran in 2008. Now, here we are in 2011 and, once again, Ron Paul is running for an office he doesnt want.
In the last election Paul's campaign raised more than $700,000 in 24 hours during a Presidents Day money bomb on-line event, yet he didnt win a single primary. Paul was great fodder for FOX news and comic relief for late night television, but when it came to the televised debates, the cameras were usually turned away.
Despite thousands of undaunted supporters texting their votes. Revolution blimps and banners flying nationwide, and thouands of dollars flowing into his campaign, Paul came in a distant fifth, dropping out of the race entirely by June of 2008. Ron Paul, and his message, should have been silenced a long time ago. He lost.
But winning the presidentcy was never Paul's goal. He was never "in it to win it". He declared his candidacy because he had a philosophy of the way government should run and he wanted others to know it. But as a Libertarian, no one was listening, As a Republican congressman from Texas only a very few were listening. But as the Republican candidate for the President of the United States, suddenly everyone was listening, and more importantly, many were actually hearing the message and many more were starting to agree with Ron Paul.
So much so, that by not winning even one primary, Paul's message was broadcast more frequently and has lasted much longer than even those who beat him. The Ron Paul Revolution sparked the Tea Party movement and gave birth to the Campaign for Liberty.
Ron Paul has a message. Ron Paul has a following. He can raise money in amounts unheard of in a single day. He can hold rallies attended by thousands and speak to standing room only venues. He has the opportunity now, more than ever before, to change the course of government in this country not by running for the highest office, but by helping elect others like himself to the lower offices of Congress and Senate.
Ron Paul can be much more effective by standing side-by-side with each and every libertarian-minded Republican (or even a libertarian-minded Democrat if one exists), and send his message to those who flew the banners, attended his rallies, lit the money bombs, that he, Ron Paul is NOT running for President, because one man, no matter what age or the color of their hair, cannot change a damn thing.
But a majority of elected representatives in the House and Senate, who believe in the Libertarian principles of individual freedom, strong national defense and limited government, those who heard the message of Ron Paul and were inspired to run for office and WIN, certainly can.
And that's why Ron Paul should NOT run for President.
Until 2016!

His Involvment in the Presidential races have brought many a Media Pundits to accept him as a GO-TO-GUY in order to comment on the economy or what is going wrong within the houses congress...
BECAUSE HE WAS RIGHT and everyone else was wrong---- he now has a HUGE ammount of credit IN THE MEDIAS EYES--- so much that they will not ignor him this time around
His status has grown
His Appeal has Grown
His Message is being heard in ways that cannot be replicated
If Ron doesn't RUN----- The momentum of that MESSAGE will die as hundreds of thousands go back to being appathetic.....(even if he doesn't win the nomination, his appearance on the NATIONAL PLATFORM allows his message of dire warning to be heard so that people will REMEMBER what was said )
He is the UNWILLING Messiah of the Tea Party Movement..... His message started the movement.... one that if stagnated by Dr Paul not running,,,,,, would horribly crash to a stop with a huge thud--- and the sound of neo cons LAUGHING ...
Others have been elected to the houses on his behalf.... but even they are charting their own courses now that his popularity has bought them an office.
It is important to understand how MOVEMENTS work and how the appthetic within that movement think and are motivated------ If you let those with new found hope down by not giving them the hope they need------YOU KILL YOUR OWN HONORABLE MESSAGE and send all to an early grave as those in power laugh at you for believing in such a dream....
When you become an adult in the real world------ and send that youthful hostility to a more productive use..... You will understand better
Right now------ you have some growing up to do---
and I hope you THINK next time------ before you spout off such dribble.

I'm sorry, but your theory is flawed! The "Tea Party" movement has already died out as far as the media / next election cycle is concerned. The ONLY way to keep the message on track - to focus on the ECONOMY, DEBT, Federeal Reserve etc is for Ron Paul to CONTINUE running for President.
The media is already doing it's absolute best to ignore him as it is - when the Republican contenders are listed, all the news channels have been DELIBERATELY leaving Ron Paul's name and picture OUT OF THE STORY! Even today, although he was on Fox News Sunday, the panel afterwards deliberately IGNORED HIS EXISTENCE and talked about pie-in-the-sky candidates like Mitch Daniels. The media brings up Bachmann and Palin more often than they acknowledge the actual candidacy of Ron Paul. If Ron Paul was not running the whole "Tea Party" movement would be ignored completely at this point. The Huckster NOT running received just as much, if not more, coverage than Ron Paul.
Ron Paul barely got 10 minutes on Fox News Sunday today; Huckabee was on for over 5 minutes to say why he is not running. Meanwhile, Newt got a FULL half-hour on Meet the Press - he was able to thoroughly explain his stances, while Ron Paul was pinned into a corner and made to look like a "Kook" by Chris Wallace; he was NOT GIVEN ENOUGH TIME to THOROUGHLY EXPLAIN his stances. Fox gave him just enough rope to hang himself, and gave themselves enough protection against the legitimate Ron Paul fans decrying his lack of media attention. I'd be willing to bet Ron Paul gets ZERO coverage from this point on, with the exception of Judge Napolitano. The best part of the Wallace interview was at the beginning when Chris Wallace admitted he does not like or agree with Ron Paul; the problem is that Ron Paul appreared visibly rattled. Whether it was Wallace's direct admission then, or something that happened before they went on the air, it was quite apparent that Ron Paul felt like a deer caught in the headlights. Ron Paul knows the media is against him, and he has been very good about getting his message out lately, so something must have thrown him off his game today. Ironically, I think he'd have been better off going on Meet the Press, at least David Gregory, while very biased, doesn't seem to be as vitriolic as Chris Wallace or Chris Matthews.
I do not consider myself a Tea Party member, but I don't hate the Tea Party either. There are too many hypocritical Republicans in the "Tea Party" movement for me; the proof was in that anti-Ron Paul quote cited by Wallace from the Tea Party Nation guy. Too many "Tea Party" members are nothing more than war-mongering entitlement leaches who are too dumb to realize their own hypocrisy.
What can one man do? Quite a bit if he happens to be the president. He could;
-Bring the troops home from Afghanistan, and Iraq, and stop bombing Pakistan and Libya, and cut the defense budget accordingly.
-Refuse to implement Obamacare.
-Order the TSA to get their hands out of our pants.
-Stop all bailouts.
-Show the American people how the Federal Reserve creates money out of nothing and then uses it to benefit big banks. Then he could lean on congress to repeal the Federal Reserve Act and throw those crooks out on the street permanently.
2016 would be too late. If RP is still alive then he will be 81 years old. That's a bit old to run for president. And 2016 may be too late for the country too.

Mr. Raven West your unedited piece of opinionated, propaganda is pathetic and only fosters your bias, "mobsters" support for silence. If you look everyday at media outlets, you will observe how one sided it is and how they love to silence anyone with a voice. Unless, of course, it is the right kind. So before you start writing about biased opinions, like your own, do some critical thinking before hand. You look pathetic as a writer and I'm sure your books are the same.
