Me Vs. You What the 2008 Election Process Boils Down To is a Matter of Trustby EJ Moosa

Dear You,
As I look at the candidates vying for our votes this year, there is one thing that stands out for me. When you select your candidate for President, you will be telling me whether or not you trust me.
If you ask yourself how I reach that conclusion, the answer is fairly clear. You see, I am voting for Ron Paul. And when I do, I am letting the entire nation know that I trust you. I trust that it is you that is best qualified to make the most important decisions in your life. I am trusting you to spend your money where you choose to do so. I am trusting you to manage your personal affairs as well.
I am trusting you to take care of yourself, plan for your own future, and live within your means. I am trusting you to be responsible enough to pay for any damages you might cause another, and to suffer the consequences for any bad choices that you make. I am trusting that you are not going to ask me to bail you out someday because I have some money in my wallet and you spent yours.
I am telling you now, today, and without any reservations that I want to trust you, that I am willing to take that chance. I feel you, above all others, are most qualified for that responsibility. That is why I am voting for Ron Paul. He also trusts you to do the same. The Ron Paul sign in my yard andthe bumper sticker on my car broadcasts to everyone "I Trust YOU!"
So when you step into the booth to vote, I ask you this simple question: Do you trust me? If you trust me then I ask you to also vote for Ron Paul. I have accepted the responsibility of taking care of myself. I have never asked for more from this or any government. I will never ask the government to take from you to make up for my mismangement, or my shortcomings, or my failure to act responsibly.
Without this trust, what we are left with is Me Vs. You. Frankly, I do not want that. I do not want to have to fight to protect everything of mine from the threat of you and a majority of others taking it from me. And I do not want you to have to live with the threat of me joining a majority to take from you. Of course you already know it is not in me to do that. I have commited to you that I would not do so by letting you know who I support for President.
I ask you to carefully consider the power you have when you vote this year. Me and You are much stronger than Me Vs. You. I have done my part to make it Me and You. I hope you do the same. Remember, I do trust you and I am willing to prove it.
Me
P.S: If you trust me and are supporting Paul, I want to thank you. I will live up to that trust.
If you are voting for another candidate, then I ask you to leave me a comment and tell me why you do not trust me. Do you not trust me to manage my finances, or my personal life? I would find that very helpful.
