The Obama Doctrine: a novel approach to US national security

There is much talk about the Obama Doctrine...is this it?

The main stream media has been talking about an Obama Doctrine

The doctrine has four parts:

1. Replace Congressional approval with United Nations approval.

2. Replace the support of the American people with the international community.

3.   Don't define the mission in order to confuse the enemy.

4. Support any rebel force against any established government.

Let's look at what has occured in connection to see if we can discern what the Obama Doctrine actually is?

First, and most importantly, there was no consultation with Congress, and no resolution in Congress to authorize the use of force.  So, should we consider unilateral Executive use of military force as one essential element of the Obama Doctrine?

Second, a unanimous,( if you don't count the abstaintions of China, Russia, Brazil and Germany) of the Un Security Council condemned Kadahfi and procalimned a potential human disaster. Is this now what authorizes the use of American military force? have we subordinated US military force to the United Nations? Is this the Obama doctrine?

Third, we dont know for sure who leads the opposition in Libya, or who supports them. So do we accept that any revolt, by any people, against the established government rise, we will support them?

Fourth, the mission is unclear, without specifics. We dont know why we are there, or what our purpose is?

Are these the four elements of the Obama Doctrine?
