Well Democrats, is Libya YOUR war?

Partisanship has dominated discussions of foreign policy for atleast the eight years of the Bush II Presidentcy...so what's up now?

The craziness never ends.

Brazil, Russia, China and Germany abstained as members of the UN Security Council concerning the use of force against Libya, but here we go again.  The nations which abstained are some of the most powerful in the world.  They are nations which will be key players throughout the twenty-first century.

And then there's the little matter of getting the approval of the US Congress when deploying American military forces into a war.

Given all the times Obama has stepped over or around the Constitution, will he ever do an impeachable offense?

And Democrats, are you as two faced as your President?  Do you support this?

As a graduate of a military college and veteran there is no way I would recommend a career, or even service in the American military.  Things are just too far gone.

And before you claim partisanship, I opposed Bush's attack on Iraq BEFORE it happened.  I see the Middle East as toilet where American wealth and energy has been thrown...the water swirling, all of America's strength being sapped out.

Being a Christian I do believe in the Bible.  I do believe Armageddon will come. I see no reason to participate in it.  We should not be the catalyst.  If Israel is attacked, as an ally we would have to act.  But these wars against pitifully weak nations like Libya is just simply ridiculous.

The issues which threaten us the most are occurring right here, within or at US borders.  Deficits, socialism, inept business practices, illegal immigration, drugs, lack of energy self - sufficiency despite our vast resources all of these problems are here.  We need to repeal Obama care, we need to get on track to reduce government spending massively.

During the Clinton Presidency our nation and our people were distracted from addressing America in the post-Cold War by Monica.  Bush's Presidency was hi-jacked by September 11th.  And now, Obama's performance as President has repeatedly demonstrated just how ill prepared he was for the job.  He simply is incompetent.   Nothing else.

All the Ivy League schools, all the previous history, all the "smart people" with doctorates, and of course the ruling elite, and our nation resembles an elementary school's playground at recess, chaotic, and uncontrolled.

Conservative talk show hosts like Sean Hannity are no help.  Wars in the mid East are a Hannity staple. He never served, but whenever the whiff of gun powder is smelled in the Mid East, Hannity seems to get even more pumped up!  His criticism of Obama is not that we are committed, but rather that we haven't committed enough! Hannity, the warrior, is once again cheerleading military action, even though he admits no clue as to what would emerge in Libya if Khadafi is removed.

Is there any American politician who can see that the real threats to our nation are within our own borders!

You asked "Is there any American politician who can see that the real threats to our nation are within our own borders!"

Mark, Ron Paul has been warning us about all our internal problems and their consequences - quite presciently, if I might add - for decades now. I'd highly suggest you find a copy of his book A Foreign Policy of Freedom: : Peace, Commerce, and Honest Friendship somewhere and read all his speeches to congress, covering his thoughts, views, and fears for this country.

He saw the economic situation coming years in advance and warned us about what steps we needed to take to avoid it and solve the problems, while everyone else was telling us "the fundamentals of the economy are sound".

He warned us about the consequences of our idiotic foreign policy, which was verified by the CIA's information on blowback.

He's seen the federal encroachment upon liberty and states' rights and been screaming into the night about it for decades.

And we've all ignored him this whole time, to our detriment. We called him a kook. We thought his ideas were "too far out of the mainstream" and silly. Well, we NEED something outside of the mainstream and that the mainstream might consider silly BECAUSE THE MAINSTREAM HASN'T WORKED TO OUR ADVANTAGE IN DECADES.

This nation and its people are myopic and ignorant. They're polarized against each other instead of the real threats and are wearing blinders. And instead of looking to the people who warned us what was coming and provided real, viable steps to avoid it, we want pretty spitfire politicians with no real understanding of these issues (and embarrassing little true awareness of much beyond talking points they're fed) or "mainstream" politicians that have already failed on these issues and merely offer more of the same rearranging deck chairs.

I'm honestly sick of it and about ready to just play my fiddle and enjoy watching the new Rome burn.
