The logical sequence of governance through the ages and today. Start at any point, preferably realizing where your country is now and see what's next and see if you can assist or resist it.
The sequence in order but not necessarily prioritized<
Socialism, Communism, Democracy.
The US has crossed the boundary from Socialism to Communism. It did so with not much thought or traditional ceremony when the SCOTUS decided in 2005 that "Private property was a thing of the past. Specifically it (SCOTUS) determined that if there be a tax benefit to any level of government for any purpose any land in that jurisdiction might be transferred to the local authorities under "Imminent Domain." I would have to question whether this was not at least a breach of the contract between "Land Owners and the authorities since the annual land taxes were a form of rent and so long as the appropriate land taxes had been paid there must have been some other breach of contract. But it appears that the original concept of outright theft is in order. Now there might have been some payment to the former "Owners" but that's on the order of dropping a packet of $1 bills on the floor while walking out to the bank with a golf cart full of $100 bills. I think the big laugh there came when the planned development of the land fell through and the town has since been saddled with a "non-performing asset." Would you purchase any land around there? I sure wouldn't. But with that single act the government claimed everything inside the physical borders of the US as its own personal property to be used as it sees fit. One Quick step from "Democracy to Communism." Although there are many other intermediate that might have, and in fact many have, been taken between the two. For example; The communist Manifesto mandates public indoctrination centers where the absolute government inspired beliefs will be pounded into any mind capable of original thought. The others will simply be infected and left to fester.
Eventually someone will question the concept of working at their maximum permissible rate for the same amount paid to everyone else. this idea is infiltrating the US Society as I write. There was an incident on a now off the air sitcom the other night where the Juvenile (age wise) was asked about a grade in Algebra. He was sure he could pass with a 68. according to him anything more was a waste of time. In the present school system in the US I would have to agree. Many college graduates with "good" marks have found themselves faced with a $50,000 debt to the government and an absolute impossibility of a job that can pay that debt service let alone the principal.
But then one day a mind comes along - which would obviously have been better used in business or inventing that asks, "If the idea of government is "equality" Then Why am I not sharing in he things that government has like executive jets for travel? " Then the mind takes a decision that runs counter to the government. "Should it steal an aircraft or simply destroy one. "Should it gather with friends and take the whole fleet? "Should it denounce the government and just keep its own work product??" The Revolution has begun. Who has the biggest gang right now. OK - you be our leader.
Now a true LEADER might refuse. Washington did. But eventually one of his underlings will decide to take the shot "euphemistically" It is time for Great LEASERSHIP. I Accept. It is Monday let us start a new work week, Government, Nation "BUT please may I live to see Friday?"
For the next few years there is confusion and progressive oppression and eventually a Revolution where a Real Constitutional Republic is Formed. Then sets in Governmental Altruism. That altruism centers on the Government and its beloved poor. Inevitably the taxes rise as the Poor are elevated to some "standard of Living" to which they are not entitled. Then they magically (At the pen of the Supreme Leader) are transformed to the Entitled. The equality sought is not equality with the workers but with the government and the pie simply isn't big enough. So the worker's taxes rise and the poor are again elevated beyond their means or comprehension but not quite to the Governmental level. Then the final "Democratic" stroke comes. The decision that the reason our " Socialist Paradise failed is because the people are ignorant peasants who do not or will not understand. They are incompetent to run their own lives let alone the productive facilities of our Nation." Therefore we shall assume responsibility for and ownership of EVERYHTING!!!!.. I often wonder if the " Commies of Kelo" Realize what they and SCROTUS did that day? I also wonder when the Stars and Bars will be reconstructed to include 52 or more stars. Do you think the governments of Canada and Mexico are going to like that.? If nothing else it will make really fancy toilet paper. But then so will the Feral Reserve Notes you carry around and call "Money."
IT will make for color full toilet paper. But pretty much useless except in one of the Foreign Wars in which you will continue to be entangled.
Perfectly logical sequence: Democracy To Socialism To Communism to Democracy…….

What happened in Conn. was a seminal moment and should have been the genesis for demonstrations country wide but alas the American sheeple did not react. Whose being gored is upper most in sustaining the human condition of ignorance and apathy. The three monkeys are alive and well. Just who do Americans want to bring home to dinner? The Principals of the Founders or the current central committee. Time is short.
