Are there any thoughts about the economy at the White House?
Energy prices are rising, unemployment continues high, deficits continue to climb...do the Democrats have a clue? by Mark Vogl

Unemployment remains high, gasoline prices rise above three dollars a gallon, trade deficits continue to demonstrate that America just can't make things to sell any more, and what is President Obama focused on? Well, today, the White House announced it would no longer defend traditional marriage!
Businesses remain confused. Will there be national health care or not? Will taxes rise or not? Will American government bonds lose their value as the federal government borrows 40 cents of every dollarit spends?
Things are not improving. The big question now is, can we make it to November 2012? In the Arab world, revolution and rebellion are driving failed leaders from power. In Libya it looks Khadafy is history! But here in America, all we can do is wait, and wait, and wait. And pray that the United States can survive untilNovember, 2012.
Look at Wisconsin as an example. Here, tens of thousands of teachers walk out on their jobs to protest that they may have to pay a tiny portion of their health care and retirement. Never mind that the state faces bankruptcy. Never mind that there was an election and the voters swept Republicans into office to deal with decades of Democrat spending. And when the Republicans propose answers which dnot rely on taxes, what do the DemocratSenators do? They leave the state...rather than vote!
Meanwhile gasoline prices rise above three dollars. Does Obama act to energize US oil and gasoline development? Nope. Does it matter that higher gasoline prices affects everything. Higher gasoline prices raise the pricesoffood, and all other products moved in trucks. Higher gasoline prices adversely affect vacations and tourism, as it takes more money just to get to the final destination.
The winter is not over, global warming could easily bring in more snow and colder weather! Higher energy prices make it even mroe expensive to endure this global warming which is freezing us out!
Last week,President Obama's own Secretary of the Treasury told a Senate Committee that the Obama budget proposal was not realistic or fiscally sound!
Can we as a nation and a people finally learn that who you elect matters! You can be a dedicated liberal. You can be a lifelong Democrat. But, at some point you have to see that our nation is suffering, that our economy has never recovered, that we smply can't raise taxes or continue to spend "credit card" money.
Action is required.
But can our nation make it til November, 2021? Can we hold our breath that long? We'll see.

Mark, I believe we will hold on as a nation; for today more Americans then ever before are getting involved in the political process. There seems to be an awakening and enlightenment today; the average person is finding it harder and harder to understand why our own politicians no matter their political persuasion cannot seem to find a common sense theme, so we are getting involved today and I am excited.
While we are busy with work, family, friends and life, we always assume the people we elect are honest, that they work for our interests. The more we learn about the state of our union today; with light as the best disinfectant, we are realizing the lies, the corruption and now the truth of how badly they have handled our state of affairs. Now it is up to us to demand change; to vote our conscious and to set us on a path to become fiscally sound.
I do not want the fundamental, socialistic, social justice, change with collective salvation our president wants; his ideology is a perversion of equal justice and individual salvation. When he expressed his ideology vocally that should have been a teachable moment across the nation, a wake up call to everyone; unfortunately our media is derelict in their duties to inform the truth without bias or self purpose.
I have witnessed today a fundamental goodness in people standing firm, hand in hand and yes I am proud tea party member. I believe in God’s truth and the people’s ability to affect change, peacefully. I believe in self governance, self responsibility, that our rights are gifted by God, not man; and with these gifts come great responsibility to take care of one another in good times and bad, never forgetting that with God all things are possible.
I think every once in awhile when things come to a boiling point “We the People” take charge and demand that we return to sound principles. Mark now is that time that we are standing in truth, the American way and hopefully with God’s grace we will reclaim the goodness that made this country great. Please forgive me for I tend to ramble. This is a great article; one I enjoyed reading very much indeed, Thank you again, Catherine.
