Just recently, I have learned about this man who is anti-American and just happens to make his money off of rapping which just happens to be the most popular music form in modern American culture. I will address what this guy has to do with what our kids are learning today. by RB Champ

I am not big on the whole rap culture deal, but today I learned about a young rapper who is gaining popularity and he happens to be very political in some of his music. Lowkey is his performing name, but I will go by his birth name. Kareem Dennis is an English-Iraqi who preaches anti-American beliefs, anti-capitalist beliefs, pretty much anti-West rhetoric. Here are some of his lyrics:
"They're calling me a terrorist like they don't know who the terror is when they put it on me, I told them this: I'm all about peace and love."
"The strength of your dreamin' prevents you from reason, the American dream only makes sense if you're sleepin'."
Now, fortunately, he doesn't live here. However, it won't be long before you will start seeing his songs on kids' iPods. When I listened to the music videos on Youtube, I couldn't help but have a good feeling because the music had a nice feel. However, when you put these words with that kind of music, everyone is going to believe it. You know how influential rappers are on young people. Just imagine them all believing that America is evil.
Can America survive if all her children hate her? Of course not. Many people predict that there will be a revolution soon, but the real question is, "What kind of revolution?" These people that want to take down America want to do it with acts of terrorism. Mr. Dennis doesn't seem to consider our enemy terrorists. Instead, he wants the Middle East to unite against us and allow people like the Taliban back into power. If it wasn't for our sacrifice, Saddam Hussein would still be alive and committing genocide against the Kurds and eliminating all those who oppose him. If it wasn't for us, the Taliban would still be in power and killing women.
Do you want your kids growing up thinking of America as the Devil?
Do you want your kids wanting to revolt, with violence, against capitalism? Think of all the things that wouldn't be possible without capitalism. It provided a reason for Americans to be innovative: to make their family happy. It provided the environment perfect to succeed in with an invention that would change the world. Who made the car, the airplane, the light bulb, the internet, and the computer? An American. Think of all the money that is made off of these inventions. It wouldn't have been possible.
Mr. Kareem Dennis is a menace and a threat. Do not let his evil words corrupt the minds of our youth. America's future depends on it.
If you want to listen for yourself, I've provided the links. Educate yourself and become stronger.
