Tea Party shows true colors...here we go again.
America is in two wars. Literally millions of Americans have paid the price for these wars. Not tens of millions, or hundreds of millions, only millions.
America as a nation of three hundred million has been following a policy of intervention in the Middle East. Nation - building, a policy and activity George Bush swore was not America's job (when he first campaigned for President) became a hallmark of his administration. Neo - cons and globalists built the case that the oil reserves of the Middle East were essential to the global economy, and that it was the US job to defend them, to stabilize the region. Add to this the terrorist attacks of September 11th and earlier, and ofcourse the alliance with Israel and you have the foundations for a policy of American military engagement in the Middle East.
Thousands of Americans have been killed in this adventure. Thousands more seriously wounded. Not many really when you think of a nation of three hundred million.
Oh, there have been some differences this time around. Lessons learned from Vietnam. We have Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity promoting the war effort. Voices that were abesent in the late 60's, early 70's. And Bush traded domestic policies to sustain a natinoal consensus in Congress towards the wars.
And we have completely rejected US development of our own energy resources. Did you know we have sufficient undeveloped oil and gas resources to meet all US needs for 300 years? Yep...that's true. Ain't making this stuff up.
We presently grow sufficient food for out nation, but if you listen to radio stations in the agricultural belts of our nation, agricutlue policy experts are laying the ground work for globalizatin of the food supply...which means more and more imports, and reduced U.S. self sufficiency of food products!
Global interdependence is seen as the strategy we must pursue.
The cost of interdependence...loss of nationalism and loss of individual freedoms and an increase in taxes and another layer of government, world government.
The Tea Party is going to help make this happen with their announcement that they will reduce military spending.
The Tea Party, the hope of a frustrated and disappointed America ...well get ready folks...there's more of the same to come.
And to those few millions in the American military, and their families, who carried the burden and tragedy of war...well thanks..but move on.
As a child, I saw America as the hope of the world. As a young boy I was optimistic, saw the possiblity of a better future. I saw the goodness in people. I saw courage, ingeniuty, unity, excellence, vision in an American people headed to the moon.
Today, in America I see failure, 50 million dead Americans on the abortions tables, I see drugs destroying people and families. I see government, and not God, as the proposed solution. Even as government goes bankrupt, even as states face default, even as recession continues.
The people who brought us all this have seemingly infiltrated the Tea party.

Your logic is pathetic. If someone opposes the war, they automatically support President Obama. What tripe!
Also, as a non-tea-partier, I think it's silly for you to claim that all tea partiers oppose the war. I suggest you actually explore the major tea party groups before making such broad, inaccurate generalizations.
