A terrible and tragic act occurs in Arizona and Congressman Peter King, always the seeker of media attention, files legislation to prohibit weapons near Congressmen! Yep, if that Law had been in place that criminal would have known better and not attacked the Congresswomen!
King demonstrates the pure idiocy of those who hold office.
King is a Long Islander, and though a Republican, he should be a Democrat. There aren't many real Republicans on Long Island. In fact, when Hillary initially won her US Senate seat by 1 million votes, the Republican majority in the New York Senate wasn't touched....a million people pulling one tab for Hillary, and then one tab for a Republican State Senator should demonstrate a number of things, one them being that RINO's dominate in New York.
But in this case King's legislation just should bring sadness. It reminds us of Govneror Pataki's (R) of New York's impotent Death penalty. Elected, in part by New Yorkers continuous support of the death penalty, Pataki authored a law which was eventually adopted which did not execute one murderer in New York during its decade plau of existence. New York is in financial chaos...one of the bluest states - New York joins California in demonstrating how wealthy states can bankrupt themselves in socialism, unionism, and corrupt politics.
Law does not prevent bad action, it is supposed to punish bad action. But in today's America, we dont execute child killers, or assassins, or sick rapists and child molesters. Over and over we hear of the release of people who killed others. But damn, you will get a ticket if you dont wear your helmet when you ride your bicycle. And you will pay hundreds of dollars, most of it to cover court costs...when you never go to Court for a speeding ticket.
This system has failed. American politicians have failed. America's lawyers and the judges they have produced have failed. The wealthiest country in the world is in massive credit card debt. We can’t guard our own borders. We could not keep the industries and technologies which were built here. We have at least three hundred years of oil and gas resources for our nation…but we are not allowed to develop those resources. We have to pay four dollars a gallon in taxes, and to overseas nations so that we can drive our cars to work!
Thank you Pete King for demonstrating the level of our Congressional leadership...

A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This is my carry permit and I have a backup also. So Mr. King shut the hell up and go sit down.
