Conservatives must offer a new vision...

Are the conservatives for real? We will find out in the 2012 primary season.

The fight over the 2012 Republican nomination must be about a rejection of the Bush - Clinton _ Bush Post Cold War America.

Conservatives need to both visualize and articulate a new future for the US and for the world. And this new future must not be based on the business plans of international corporations and the social objectives of Harvard - Yale graduates.

Its time to realize that we are not big enough to unify the world. What I mean is, we are not smart enough, not wise enough. We are not God.

There seems to be a relatively small group of very wealthy people who seem to think they can organize the earth. They seem to think that they are the answer to world poverty, to war, to provide a way to perfect humanity.

That's not America's job.

America's job is to organize itself. It is our job to be that City on Hill, an example to the rest of the world. It is up to us to create the best society possible, to raise the bar for human achievement.

"Bigger is better" and centralization of control are at the heart of the failure of the Post Cold War policies of American globalists. We need to turn around and reverse course 180 degrees. We need to strip the federal government of many of its component parts. We need to completely eliminate the Federal Department of Education. We need to shut down most social programs. We need to cut by one third federal employment.

Its time to go back to the America created by the original thirteen states. Its time to make the box bigger that the states operate in. Its time to allow for social innovation by reintroducing the primacy of the state, over the federal government. Decentralization and states rights should be our cry.

To do this the conservatives need to implement totally legal policy making means. For one, they need to severely restrain the role of the Supreme Court. Secondly, they need to reform anddramatically reduce the perks for serving in Congress.

Conservatives must create a new purpose for America in the world. We need to hang up the role of world policeman! We need to refocus our foreign policy to America First needs.

We need to turn on American productivity, creativity, innovation, and imagination. We need to fully integrate into America the new technologies. Simple example: use the computer and the internet to replace books in the classroom. And secondly use the massive university complex to create an almost costless updating system for public school curriculum. How?

Simple, require all graduate and doctoral students to update elementary, junior, and senior high text booksas a part of their degree. No pay... And require those who teach graduate and doctoral work to be the editors of the graduate level work. No pay...except what they are paid now. In other redesign graduate studiesin education so that it massively reduces education costsat the public school level.

Will the academician s scream? Heck yea they will, what a beautiful sound.

And second, we need to use technology to provide more freedom for people. How? Again, simple. Requite a prefix on the internet address of any and every porn site, and require that a block to that prefix be included in every PC sold.  Parents and all people should be able to block porn.

Make real changes in production of goods so as to include the entire life cycle of the product and its packaging within the copyright procedures.  What I mean by this is, require a plan for the end of the product. This process should include recycling, etc.  Will it increase costs at the time of purchase? Absolutely. But, it should decrease overall cost by being smarter about what we produce.

And, throw out the FCC, they are doing nothing but poisoning our communications systems. Create local volunteer boards for areas... oh yea that will drive television producers crazy...but hey, they have been driving us nuts for years!

There's alot that can be done. Conservative thinkers, give us a brave new world where American exceptionalism is the hallmark.

Mark, I would submit that No legislative branch will ever, on their own, acquiesce to responsibility and there is only one force on earth that will turn this around. If you want to motivate legislators towards responsibility, the very first order of business should be to eliminate payroll withholding and estimated payments. Make citizens sit down and pay their taxes every year. Face to face with the reality of national largess extravagance looking back at them. As for those irresponsible enough not plan for that day, tough. The result of this will either be a more responsible taxpayer or a push for a national sales tax like the Fair Tax. Either way Congress would soon be de-fanged and we could get on about the business of the American Revolution. Benjamin Anderson stated in Congress while the war powers act, WW2, was being considered, that while necessary at the time, if not sunset-ed at the end of the war it would ultimately be the downfall of the Republic. You see he understood that once a people lost control of their money there could only be one result, human nature being what it is. Actually it was suppose to sunset and the Government just ignored it. Turns out he was right!
