Here's to the Beast

Tomorrow is a big day for the future of our Republic

The primary intention of the founders was for the federal government to operate solely to protect the value of our money, facilitate commerce and protect us from threats afar. Can anyone believe that is the intent now of those that would administrate our federal government and all of its associated public agencies and bureaucracies?

It has been proven time and again that you cannot facilitate commerce and growth of the economy by stripping the private sector of capital through abusive taxation and obtuse punitive regulation. You certainly can't expect the economy to efficiently grow with a bloated federal government that has expanded into the beast it has become.

The immense size and scope of our Federal Government, public sector and supported unions is a huge unproductive drag on growth and job creation. It produces no capital or wealth while its sheer size and breadth sucks huge amounts of capital and investment away from private sector individuals and businesses.

Economic growth and job creation is only possible by those that make investment to develop ideas that solve problems and create or satisfy demand for something. We are presently in an economic environment stifled by government that creates and perpetuates policy designed only to make it larger and more engorged... policies that suck the entrepreneurial spirit from those that can tame the beast and turn this mess around.

Hopefully, tomorrow the lesson begins.

Mike
