Pursuit Of New Energy

World engagement of nuclear power. We are in the age of the atom and everyone wants to be a part of it.

We are steadily climbing to the peak of the nuclear age. The nations that have held nuclear powered facilities thus far will be joined by many more in the next twenty to thirty years. People fear possible disaster from nuclear power but economics worldwide is in desperate need of alternative energy. It just so happens powering a nuclear facility is something we are able to accomplish and truthfully it is a clean measure for electricity. We have evolved to the point where we should be able to handle enriching uranium and be able to contain it safely. What we should worry about is how we dispose of nuclear waste and that has been many people's only concern with nuclear power other than the production of weapons. Well what should we do with nuclear waste? I don't think burying it in the earth is a good idea and that has been an initial public offering from Australia. They are preparing waste disposal sites specifically for nuclear drums in designated wasteland areas. I would rather see the waste safely boosted into space and rocketed toward the sun myself. It would be an extremely risky method but if we could pull it off we wouldn't have to worry about hiding it anywhere. If more nations are to become part of the nuclear club we should consider what Australia is offering because they do have an environmentally sound plan of action. It wouldn't make much sense scattering nuclear waste all over the planet. Why not have, one designated area to contain all of the hazardous material it makes sense?

Well Iran has signed their nuclear law and of course other nations are ready to have the same responsibility. Vietnam and the UAE are currently in talks with the United States about pursuing atomic power. It seems like Vietnam wants to keep it a secret but really there is not any reason for them to deny what they are after. China has been in talks with Vietnam and really it could be beneficial for the Vietnamese people. They are very primitive and do not have many resources for alternative energy. Since the Vietnam War you couldn't expect much more than only powering the nation. Why Vietnam would want anything other than electricity would be a surprise unless China made them do something unordinary. China has nuclear responsibilities to worry about so if they were to be involved with Vietnam it would only to make sure nothing went wrong. War theorists even say that China would rather have a foot war rather than a nuclear one. They know better because if it came down to that they would be annihilated. I only mention nuclear warfare because when atomic energy is pursued it makes the weapons that much easier to obtain. All it takes is a little money and ingenuity to put it all together. Don't expect Vietnam to go any further than power lines when they get things up and running. It really doesn't make much of a difference for them to have nuclear power when China is right next door with the same program.  They only want the benefits from the energy source.

If the UAE succeeds in becoming a nuclear nation it will be a huge money saver for them. With all the facilities they have built something is going to have to change. Eventually their oil reserves will run dry and they will have to rely on tourism as a new primary source of income. I wouldn't even stress the thought of weapons being produced in the UAE because their goal has been building a utopia from oil profits. If this helps them achieve more then it may ease tensions in the Middle East as far as global concerns. They might play an important role when it comes to discussing nuclear power. The United States really hasn't had any problems with the UAE and if it makes for the better we need them to stay on our side with every world issue.

The UN claims we are narrowing the gap of nuclear weapons disposal but as I have said before a weapon of that magnitude is always going to be hidden somewhere. You can't just take somebody's word for it and just say the playing field is level. It's like playing a game of Battleship and the one that has the best strategy wins the game. If anything we should just push for more restrictions against using a nuclear weapon. A world council should be well aware that more nations are pursuing alternative energy and nuclear power is eventually going to be wide spread. It should be a law of humanity that if a nuclear attack takes place everybody needs to side against the party responsible with strict force and no argument at all.

I think we are more likely going to see a solid growth in nuclear power and it's a matter of where or when. If we don't pay detailed attention to nuclear activity and let inexperience take control we might have a few mishaps or a major catastrophe? It can't hurt any worse than what we have already done on this earth but we must manage every measure when dealing with potentially dangerous objectives. If we can achieve a global agreement on how the age of nuclear power will proceed then we are heading in the right direction. We just can't let disagreement interfere and cause any mistakes by not keeping an eye on what we are doing.
