Fox News refuses to include Dr. Ron Paul in the Republican primary debates.

Rupublican presidential candidate Ron Paul's supporters are outraged at Fox News Network's refusal to include him in any future debates on their network.  Dr. Paul has out-polled and out-fundraised some of the other candidates and his exclusion is percieved as an anti-democratic move of desperation from the most pro-war, right -leaning national news network.

I am not going to pretend to be objective about this development. As an enthusiastic Ron Paul supporter, I am disappointed, but not surprised.  Fox news has tried to smear Dr. Paul first as a conspiracy nut and then--when that didn't work--as a neo-nazi. Both accusations are laughable to anyone who has followed Dr. Paul's political career or his philosophy of government. What the attacks show is that Ron Paul is now considered a serious threat to the neoconservative dominance of the GOP and U.S. foreign policy.

The warmongers should be worried. Public opinion of the war on terror and Iraq specifically is around 25 to 35 percent.  The GOP already lost control of both houses of congress largely because of continual support for an undeclared and preemptive war. By alienating paleoconservatives, independents and libertarians, President Bush and the neocons are facing a disaster in the upcoming election.

I plan on voting for Doctor Paul even if I have to write his name in. In ten terms in the House of Representatives, he has never voted for a tax increase, an unbalanced budget, or a congressional pay raise. He is an Air Force veteran, a physician, devout Christain, faithful husband, father of five, and (most importantly) a fearless and honest defender  of freedom and constitutionally limited government.

Should the exclusion stand, I don't think that something along the lines of a lifelong boycott of companies that advertise with Fox News would be too excessive.

I emailed Fox already and told them just that, they are going to lose money.

To Whom it may Concern,

I am writing to express my disappointment and displeasure upon discovering Dr. Ron Paul will be excluded from the New Hampshire Debates. Dr. Paul has placed #1 among Republicans AND Democrats at AOL's spam-proof poll. Dr. Paul LEADS ALL Republican candidates in fund raising this quarter. Dr. Paul is tied for third place in IOWA. Dr. Paul's support is known to be great among Independents, former Republicans and Democrats. Surely these people deserve to have their candidate heard! Dr. Paul Is the MOST searched for candidate on the internet. The exclusion of Dr. Paul from these debates would be for me the final convincing piece of evidence that we the American citizens are no longer in control of our destiny. Once the process to file FEDERAL complaints via the FCC is automated, you may expect a flood of letters to your affiliate stations.

Fox News' corporate sponsors would no doubt be interested to know that, due to their affiliation with a corrupt and biased network, we are boycotting their products. Here is a list of contact information for Fox News' sponsors. Please write to them to voice your disapproval of Fox News' decision to exclude a legitimate presidential candidate. www.debone.com/boycottFoxNewsSponsors.html
