Ron Paul Excluded From Debate

A Pledge Ron Paul Supporters Should Make To FOX
by BJSchaefer
(libertarian)
Saturday, December 29, 2007

As we know, not too long ago, Don Imus was removed from radio because of pressure from advertisers from a large group of people pledging to protest any advertiser that aired ads during his show.  No money means no show.

I have pledged to FOX the following, and I suggest Ron Paul supporters, when writing to FOX, pledge the following:

"If a revision is not soon made to include Ron Paul in the January 6th debate, I (name here) pledge to not watch, listen to, subscribe, or otherwise give patronage to any FOX affiliated programming for the duration of the election cycle.  I also pledge to write any company that advertises during a FOX affiliated news program of my actions to inform them of the lost advertising viewership."

Money matters people, and the "Old Media" relies on keeping advertisers happy.  Advertisers are not happy when they are told by large groups of people that they are spending money on nothing.

I sent this letter to FauxNews being careful to not mention Dr. Paul by name to avoid email filters but making it clear who I was referring to:

To Whom It May Concern

We have a boycott thread on our San Diego Meetup group:

It lists advertisers of some of the mainstream media outlets, as well as those of a polling company.

Here is another things to put the pressure on.

Call the Faux News Advirtisors and let them know that as of Jan. 7 you will no longer being using their goods, services, or frequenting their stores. If this entails cancelling services then go for it. Let them know its contengent on Paul being excluded from the debate, and perhaps your general dissatifaction with Faux News coverage.

If ads are about getting business, and we can turn it into losing business. That's golden.

Historically it has been a threat to boycott the advertisers' products that has been effective in bringing advertiser pressure to bear on networks.

It will be interesting to see if threatening to not watch the outlet, and thus their commercials, will be comparably effective. B-)

Fox is only showing they are not fair and balanced as they claim. The only thing remains to be done is to make sure everyone outside the Ron Paul campaign knows of their dishonesty, bias, and fear of Ron Paul.

Ron Paul IS, in fact, being excluded from the Jan 8th Fox News debate.

Let's not let this distract us from the task of winning the primaries.  =)
