The State Is God

Or so it would lead us to believe.

It's called a "God Complex" for a reason. Those given or have usurped enough power eventually try to elevate themselves to the status of gods. Police were caught on their radio some years ago stating something along the lines of "these streets are ours, we're gods here". The death penalty allows the state to end a life on purpose regardless of whether you believe in such a punishment or not they still get to play god with a human life.

Should you rightfully claim that the state is excessively warlike or outright mean, then their conservative apologist high priests will scream "blasphemy" and scream even louder for your excommunication from the church you somehow didn't actually ever join. Of course it's better known as simply leaving the country and never coming back. As that is definitely what they feel you should do. Don't try to fix corruption if it's the kind of corruption that they like and are comfortable with.

When you remark that the gooberment is wasteful and involved up to it's eyeballs in squandered funds for charities it should have never involved itself in the first place then the liberal apologist high priests will likewise scream "blasphemy" as well. They will be happy to follow up with vile accusations of "heartless", "uncaring" and "mean" when they speak of you. Afterwards they will wish the state to render heartless, uncaring, and mean things towards you for your sacrilege.

A relatively harmless plant is wicked, an FDA (thus state as God) approved medication that is in fact harmful as an alternative, is therefore blessed. Wrong is somehow right because their god says it is so. Forcing children for 12 plus years to worship at the altar of the public school system somehow is right. In fact, so holy that failure to worship at that altar, comes with steep penalties.

I call the state what it is, a false god.
